Rest assured that Ten Hag will have a plan for tomorrow. We sent 8 guys to go analyse Barca at their place for the EL game. He will have an answer for most things and I dont know if they have the answer for us. Also Weghorst pressing Alisson? He's gonna drop clangers for days :wenger:

Game could have meant something extra other than just beating our bitter rivals

That should mean enough. How about beating them keeps them at bay for top 4 and potentially scuppers their plans for the summer transfer window and therefore their rebuild going on which would likely lead to Klopp walking and Liverpool going to shit?

    Butterfly effect.

Doing a double over Liverpool is always extremely difficult and it won't be different tomorrow.

Scousers getting their weekly dose of important player for the opponent out injured?

Damn it. We can’t afford Maguire pushing up and losing Nunez or Salah on the turn, but at the same time I don’t think we’ve ever looked comfortable with Lindelof and Martinez together. Don’t think they gel well stylistically

    feck me, another one.

Off the back of beating Barcelona, winning the League Cup and coming back from a goal down against West Ham.

Oh deary me, I'd be happy with a draw against Liverpool?

I'm going to be fecking devastated if we don't smash these Scouse cnuts.

Devastated is really pushing it. If you’re devastated with a draw, what would you be with a 5-0 loss?

I’d be disappointed though. We‘ve got confidence, the better team, better form and we rested plenty of players mid-week. We should go there to beat them.

Why on earth would you be happy with a draw :wenger:

Anfield is always tough, we haven't won there in 7 years.

I'm more concerned with the performance, rather than the result.

We only need to stay ahead of Newcastle and Spurs.

    We won't catch Arsenal.

I'd certainly take a point right now.

This is one of, if not the, hardest game we have left in the league. A draw at Anfield is a point gained in my view, not 2 points dropped. It also keeps them at arms length - I'd rather settle with it remaining at a healthy 10 point lead over them rather than gamble on a winner either way making it either 7 or 13 points.

The scores have gone very well this weekend in terms of a top 4 finish, but badly in terms of our very unlikely chances of a title challenge. We're 14 and 9 points behind Arsenal and City - with games in hand, I know, but they aren't both going to completely collapse so I'm not panicking thinking we need 3 points every game to try and catch them. A point in tough upcoming matches away at the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle will be fine for a top 3 finish, so long as we don't drop many silly points in the easier games.

Finishing top 3 and looking to win a second (or third!) cup is my hopes for the remainder of the season. The title race has never really been likely, and isn't getting any likelier despite our fine form - the cups are far more realistic hopes.

I like your optimism and do hope you’re predictions prove to be correct Mr Spud. :)

Yes just wished we hadn’t have dropped those points at Palace and that ridiculous draw we had at home to Leeds.

We've got 14 matches left in the league. I'd love it if we won all 14 of them, but I live in the real world where I know that's not going to happen. A draw in one of our toughest remaining away fixtures isn't the end of the world, that's all I'm saying.

Yeah absolute pisstake that gap isn't 12 points to Arsenal, fecking hell Bournemouth what was that stupid time wasting about

No way will i take a point. We should piss this. Their midfield is worse than mcfred on a bad day.

We're almost certainly too far off Arsenal now and also very comfortably in the top 4 now too after the Spurs & Newcastle results. So a point doesn't really help us nor does dropping 3 at Anfield away really hurt us. Normally would say winning the 3 points is all that matters vs them but given the circumstances, and the disaster of last season's performances, I hope we have a plan to take the match to them like we did in Barcelona. I'd rather lose playing to win in this one than hoping for a result.

    Anyway, trust in ten Hag

Understandably there's an inferiority complex given the horrid past decade or so. Mainly since Klopp took over. However we're a different animal ourselves now under ETH both technically and mentally. We have leaders on the pitch now. Rashford will be licking his lips at having a go at the generational TAA or whatever wing he's on they've been bang average.

    We've got this.

Too far off due to Palace & Arsenal away, Leeds at home and the fact Bournemouth decided to stupidly time waste after 90 mins which I hope we make them suffer for when we play down there

Ffs, can we have one big away game where our squad is completely healthy?

We better play Lindelof with Martinez if Varane is injured, cannot have Maguire donkeying back like a fool

    Yeah I know so annoying

Scousers getting their weekly dose of important player for the opponent out injured?

I do think most of the time when there's news of a "last minute fitness test" they do end up playing.

However it's not good news if he ends up missing tomorrow - that trio of Varane Martinez and Casemiro makes us very difficult to beat and it's the last game you want to missing one of your big players.

If he does play we have to also hope he's not just half-fit and it effects his performance.

Really hope Varane passes his fitness test so he can play. The thought of Maguire in the starting lineup against Liverpool gives me the shivers. I’d rather play Lindelof next to Martinez if Varane doesn’t make it. Anyways hopefully he’s all fine & it’s just mind games like we done with Rashford for the league cup final last week and gave Newcastle a false sense of hope.

    De Gea

    Wan-Bissaka - Varane - Martinez - Shaw

    Casemiro - Fred

    Antony - B.Fernandes - Rashford

    Weghorst

Heaton, Dalot, Lindelof, Malacia, McTominay, Sabitzer, Sancho, Garnacho, Elanga

    Liverpool 1-2 Manchester United

Just keep on winning and see where it leads us. No need to pay attention to clubs above us, what they do is beyond our control.

ETH was talking up Maguire recently but I think he just wants to sell him and is hoping for a higher fee

No Varane no party, I'd expect a comfortable 3-1 win for Pool. Hopefully he'll be alright to play.

It's that spawny goal against Villa and Bournemouth's dumb time wasting that has really rattled me in regards to Arsenal, still hoping City can keep the pressure on every game until April 27

If Maguire starts our defeat is guaranteed.

I've got a great a feeling about this, we should have a field day with their defense.

Part of me thinks Arsenal will bottle it. But yeah them winning it will be so annoying because of their fans. Also the ref and VAR have been shite this season on top of teams being lucky.

Why is everyone saying Maguire or Lindelof ? He could put Shaw with Martinez and have Malacia let back.
Either way, what ever the boss does I'm going to sit back and enjoy us thumping these bast..ds.
