Trent and van Dijk? What year is this?
Trent and van Dijk? What year is this?
Liverpool don’t really beat us that often. It seems lopsided because of our shit period Under Ole and Rangnick but it’s something like 8 defeats to them in last 24 odd games with 4/5 of them coming in that shot period when everybody was beating usWe were usually shite at Anfield under Sir Alex, under Moyes, under Mourinho, under Ole, and under Rangnick. And though Van Gaal gave us Juanfield, we played awful in the other two games we played there under him. Though admittedly we won one of them so there's that.
All sorts of managers failed to 'crack the code' and actually play well at Anfield. A draw would be excellent.
I'd put Rashford up top and Garnacho out wide, Varane ahead of Van Dijk but the rest would be ok
DDG
AWB - Varane - Martinez - Shaw
Casemiro - Fred
Antony - Bruno - Rashford
Weghorst
Combined XI
VVD, TAA and Alison haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory this season. Plenty of howlers and lapses.
Usually between 90 minutes and two hours depending on SCs.How long is the F1 race?
Thanks mate.Usually between 90 minutes and two hours depending on SCs.
Agree somewhat with that however I thought it was mainly midfield and RB that failed in first half, and that spilled over to Martinez and Lindelof. Second half was imo the best we’ve seen from a CB pair playing without Casemiro this season. They didn't look good in that first half v Leicester game though. They got better in 2nd half.

Nunez is lucky - reflective of the fact that neither team have a great #9. Varane is unlucky, but one of him, Martinez and Van Dijk would be if you only go with two.
Weghorst doesn’t score either but does a lot more in open play than Nunez.Nunez is lucky - reflective of the fact that neither team have a great #9. Varane is unlucky, but one of him, Martinez and Van Dijk would be if you only go with two.
If you're going with getting the 'best' XI in there, then maybe go with a 5-3-2 with Varane, Martinez, and Van Dijk all CB's and Salah and Rashford up top and just ignore the #9 options.

AgreeIt's strange. You'd think given everything it's a game to relish. I fecking hate Liverpool away.

Anyone else hearing that Varane is injured? Mekes me even less confident...
Agree
Liverpool 1 Utd 3
Rashford x2 & WW
Henderson or that other unbearable cnut Robertson will probably score for them.
I'm not confident at all, and not because I don't have faith in this team. Even when we were utterly dominant this was a hard game.So many of my United pals are bullish and really quite confident about today.
I can't say I share that view. Liverpool are nothing like as bad as people are making out...and we tend to give teams more chances than I'm comfortable with!
I think both teams really are capable of getting at each other.
Good results too with Spuds and Newcastle losingIf we do get beat today, not the end of the world. Wel still be 7 points ahead of them and comfortable favourites for 3rd.
