Wow.... this line up makes no sense.

No Ugarte or Casemiro ...EtH got bored of not conceding 25 shots on target. Or he just wants a deja vu of 4-0.

All results gone against us today so that generally means a loss unfortunately, hopefully we can change that today.

feck me, the negativity already in this thread.

Get a grip and support your fecking team. Save the complaining for when there is something to complain about.

No, but ETH will be putting what he believes is his best squad in every PL game. Suton away is every bit as much of a 'must win' as Palace away
What he believes is the best team doesn’t mean anything. Every game is different. Just cause a set of players worked for one game doesn’t mean they will work for the next. You got to account for different players, systems and threats and we all know ETH isn’t the best at adapting.

I kind of get the feeling EtH fumbles about and stumbles upon something by so he works it to the bone until it doesn’t work anymore then he reverts to fumbling about, this time its Eriksen.

I don't understand ETH. Rashford, finally finds form and then gets dropped.

    And no Ugarte?

Looking at CPs starting lineup and they are just overloading the midfield. We really need to press from the front here or we will get overrun in midfield. Not looking forward to this game.

I don’t understand why the conclusion from the Barnsley game is that Eriksen gets put back in CM.

Maybe he's inspired by Slot's midfield two of MacAllister and Gravenberch. Mainoo deep to emulate Gravenberch's ball carrying and Eriksen will provide the passing.

The thing though is Pool are forced into that team selection because they have no DMs. We have two and he doesn't want to play them.

Must be the strongest bench we have put out in years, with nearly everyone fit.

A bit over the top. We played this midfield and had 6 shots against us from Southampton and Crystal Palace are 2 places above them with 1 more point in the league.

Theres some risk but hopefully the midfield will work like last week

Theres reason to believe it will work against bottom half of the table teams. That said most teams will put their big new signings into the team as soon as possible, so its dissappointing ETH is slow with some of them

Not the lineup I'd have gone with and if Eriksen was going to play; then I'd have given him Tuesday off. Oh well, plenty of bench power

Ten Hag really is mental at times and it will cost him his job. What manager under this much pressure selects a midfield like that?

I heard Rashford dropped and feared he was starting Antony, am relived to see he is not but i am not getting good vibes about this match

Rashford dropped when he actually is in a good run of form...

Didn't drop him for 6 months when playing triple.

    I don't understand that.

That is the strongest bench we have had in a long time, should be good for the last 20 minutes when Palace tire.

Three starts in a week for Eriksen is...an idea.
He’s been really good so far, whoever wants his spot has to play their way there. It’s a long old season!

It’s a fantastic feeling to have an actual squad with options.

Sky REALLY trying hard to make a story out of the Rashford bench.

    ‘Dropped’
    ‘Something must have happened’
    ‘Manager frustration’

Yeah I'm very concerned about the midfield. I understand trying to reward Eriksen for playing well lately but we're set out to be overrun in midfield. I hope I'm wrong but seems inevitable.

Why does everyone keep saying Rashford has been dropped when ETH has already elaborated he’s simply being rotated. This is what everyone wanted correct?

Yeah someone should really remind him of the pressure from the redcafe, I fully expect him to be asking for tactical advise as well. Plenty of know it alls in this thread.

I'm all for rotating but im really surprised this is the game rashford doesn't start after his last few games.

I do think mainoo needs to be rested soon.

Midfield off the ball is a worry as it's not going to have a press outside of Bruno. I can see eriksen and mainoo higher up and a gap between them and our defence

Very surprised at a few things. Firstly no DM in this away game is very surprising. Especially after getting hammered here last year. They're a team who break fast so I hope that's not a mistake.

Also Eriksen I think played very well in the last two games but I'm concerned about his physical ability to start three games in a row. This doesn't feel like a game suited to him starting unlike, for example, the game against Twente during the week which would be more suited due to the slower pace.

It's difficult to pick two of the three main wingers considering they've all played well recently. Having said that I'm surprised at Rashford being the one to miss out now considering he's played a lot when not playing well previously.

Strong looking bench for once though which is nice.
