Will be a tough game. I'm not expecting a dramatic change in the space of a few days from players that have struggled to string two passes together all season.
Yes forgot about that as well . No offense but he'll be one of those players we look back in 5 years time and wonder 'how the feck did he start in a crucial CL game?'He was also getting picked to prove a point to Pogba and the board in Mourinho petty and silent wars with them .
No need to wait for 5 years.Yes forgot about that as well . No offense but he'll be one of those players we look back in 5 years time and wonder 'how the feck did he start in a crucial CL game?'
The side against Cardiff will be picked by Carrick and McKenna. I wouldn't expect wholesale changes out of the gate.
Don’t have access to my laptop, would anyone mind making a thread for Garner on the player performances thread?
I can give you a template to update once I get access to my laptop again.
Thanks bud!Sure, I will create with basic OP and then we can update later.
Why not? It's Cardiff.I don't expect United to win this evening. But looking at the fixture list between now and the end of February, except for Spurs, it's ideal for Solskjaer/United.
Expecting this also. Could see Matic dropped though.Nice to see Gomes and Garner taken along. I suppose it is unlikely that either of them will make the 18, but it's definitely possible.
de Gea
Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw
Matic
Herrera Pogba
Lingard Rashford Martial
---
Romero; Jones, Young; Fellaini, Fred, Mata, Pereira
Expecting something like this.
One can then assume that Shaw is the closest to being fit.Other than Sanchez Physio Room now says McT, Shaw and Smalling are "Late Fitness Tests".
But only Shaw has traveled.
I expect Young or Herrera will be captain.
Well we probably will need to score loads with that CB pairing

What channel is this on?
BT with Rooney in the studio.
Why not ?, even if it was Jose still in charge, I would be expecting a win, I am hoping that with a new manager , the team will want to impress.I don't expect United to win this evening. if he's fit he starts.... wait to 4.30I wanna put 20 euros on Martial to score first but I'm afraid he wont start
I have a feeling it’ll be Pogba.I expect Young or Herrera will be captain.
I think Matic could/should be dropped in time, but this side is likely to have more input from the current management team. If Matic doesn't perform over the next 4-6 weeks I think Ole will have the balls to drop him. He will be give the chance though as he should be our best in that position. I'd like to see Herrera given a run there though with Fred & Pogba in front of him.Expecting this also. Could see Matic dropped though.

I just hope people won't be too disappointed if we don't win. It's refreshing we have a new manager and a buzz around the team but it's just a 1st game and I don't expect to see too much of a change, not to mention being sure if a win.
What I do expect is players giving their all.
I've gone with nearly the same team. The exception being Young replacing Dalot. Although I would prefer rather Dalot playing.De Gea
Dalot--Bailly--Lindelof--Shaw
Herrera--Pogba
Lingard--Mata--Martial
Rashford
Yeap, that's the team Id have picked too.Based on that squad
Ddg
Dalot Lindleof Bailey Shaw
Herrera Pogba
Lingard Mata Martial
Rashford
Can’t wait
