    He played under SAF in preseason although it might of been when Mike Phelan took charge when fergie was sorting the Van Persie deal out.
     
    BT Sport must think all their Christmases have come at once: OK lots would be watching anyway but they are now guaranteed huge audience for the game... no doubt the commentary and punditry will be pretty much as shite as usual though (do you ttink they've asked Jose along?!!!)
     
    I think there will be hiccups in his first few matches to implement his philosophy. Ole will be criticised and be accused of being naive in terms of defending.

    But I can see it being a better balance by late Jan. I remember the transition between LVG and Jose and the initial hesitation of how we used to attack or how fast we went forward.

    I’d have Young there rather than Valencia, as he’s less past-it and more of a leader and uniting force. But the amount of abuse Tony gets on here is ridiculous.

    I haven't been this excited about a game since Fergie was in charge, tomorrow can't come quick enough.

    No media hype needed ,I go of what I see and he has been poor and captain in not the way to reward him, agreed yes other players need to improve , give the the captaincy !
    For me he has to prove himself worthy of being captain and has yet he has not come close to it !

    Fair enough. I've just gone through the last couple of pages of his performances thread and it's all reasonable criticism. Maybe I imagined it, or it did happen but earlier. Even the "always thought he wasn't good enough" posts were few.

    In that case, there is only one candidate. DDG gets the armband for the rest of the season. Possibly Mata, but I wouldn't want him starting every game.
     
    Honestly think that Cardiff are going to get destroyed. You could pick someone from the stands to manage this one and it wouldn’t matter. Players will be on a high from being rid of Mourinho and will want to show up.
     
    Quite incredible the difference a week can make.
    This time last week, I would not have been bothered if we lost 10-0. Now, I can't wait for the game.

    Nice to see both Gomes and Garner part of the squad. One thing is Ole to say he'd give youth players a chance, another to actually include them in the squad.

    Not that surprising to see some youth traveling with Lukaku and Sanchez out for tomorrow.

    I just saw this reading through the first replies! :lol: I was at a loss, before I glanced at the date. Things can change quickly in football. I submitted my first lineup in ages today. :D It’s exciting just to feel anyone might have a chance of getting a start. Can’t fecking wait!:devil:

    It's amazing how different I feel compared to how I felt last week when Mourinho was still here.

    I just want us to attack. The full backs should get high up the pitch and act like wingers. Herrera can give some protection to Bailly and Lindelof but everyone else should be attacking. Bring back the old mentality of 'If they score 2 we'll score 3'.

    Yeah nothing against the lad but he was only getting picked because of Mourinho obsession with height . He even invented an award for him last season!
    There's nothing wrong with blooding the youngsters but they've got have the talent too - not all of them will make it at United
