I've bagged a late ticket but in the home end. As much as I'd like 5-0, not sure I can remain neutral for 5 goals.

When this thread was made, Mourinho was still the manager but We have a new manager now. Probably the only match thread that has ever experienced it? Solskjaer is making a history already.

Moyes was sacked with 4 games to go

Perreira updated his instagram with a hint of his location. Cardiff.

    Is he starting?

The poor guy has been posting similar stuff before every match of the season, even when not making the bench.

For me the real interest is in how well the squad performs over the next few weeks not just this afternoon. One side of the forum will come out on top in respect of opinion that's for sure. As the players have no-one to hide behind now (after all the finger can no longer be pointed at JM) either the squad is good enough to challenge or we do indeed have a mediocre set of performers. Keeping fingers crossed that it is the former. Ah well time will indeed tell in this instance

You can always jump and swear and bitch and moan out loud and fist pumping towards pitch, while singing a happy little song on the inside.. Worked for me, ages ago, just have to be careful, you can do that by imagining yourself in the hospital with broken leg.

I did that away to city at Maine road once. Can’t say it was a pleasant experience. Then again, we lost 3-1, so, a day to forget all round.

Solskjaer's already made a big step in the right direction
One step in the right direction for Solskjaer is the exclusion of Antonio Valencia from the squad, even though he is fit.

Valencia is literally the worst permanent captain in the history of the club. Like Pogba, he undermined the previous manager and also disrespected the club by tweeting team news on the day of the game. His lack of communication does not help, either. At the risk of sounding like a Brexiteer, Valencia has a responsibility to speak on behalf of the squad and club from time to time and he refuses to do so. He will not be missed in Cardiff.

So sad it's come to this for him. Hopefully he can turn it around and contribute for a few more games before he has to retire his right foot.

Jeez Samuel. Hide your emotions at least

Valencia has been a dead duck for years.

Was a terrible choice for captaincy but then we already knew that. To be fair to Jose he clearly also had this impression and basically wrote him off from the start of the season.

The biggest question for me is does Matic start or not. That's where you really start to see a divergence from Mourinho and perhaps finally the return of objectivity and rational thinking.

    What!? Never seen that before...
Is that a new feature, or have i just not seen it?

    Thanks either way!

Urgh! Just noticed Michael "I can't grow a beard" Oliver is the ref! Absolutely dislike him. We better not tackle anyone in blue, or else we're in trouble. Regardless, we should win.

Don't think I've ever been so excited about a team selection, not sure why, hardly like we've signed 10 players over night

    Fixed it for you :)
