    We haven’t done a lot wrong and don’t deserve to be behind at the break. We have been the better side and controlled the half, I felt a goal was coming and their goal was against the run of play.

    Being critical Amad again looks out of his depth and i doubt it’ll be long until we see Garnacho but that aside we don’t deserve to be behind.

    Neither do I. We're also playing against one of the better left forwards in the league and we're giving him too much space.

    I missed the first 15mins, but from the other 30 I saw I thought we looked tidy without any genuine threat. We look a little better defensively with Casemiro in form alongside Mainoo. But we don't really look like causing Brighton too many problems in the 30mins I saw.
     
    Diallo and Mount have been really poor. Diallo should have scored a goal and has been out of the game besides that. Mount is just not good enough anymore.

    Lord knows! Many of our fans wants us to spend another £50M on a third one! Maybe Zirkzee is still getting into shape.
     
    It’s two teams that both look well organised but very average, they took their chance we don’t take ours. First goal may well decide it as I’m not convinced we will create many clear cut chances.

    Very poor defending by Maguire for the goal, think Mount has to come off, he’s been ok but has to make way for Zirkzee.
     
    I’d actually replace mainoo for Zirkzee and bring mount back to play Mainoos position. Kids been poor today

    That’s why. It’s nonsense he persists to play players he just replaced. Was the same with Casemiro when he continued to play McTominay ahead of him. Garnacho should play ahead of Rashford. Zirkzee should start.
     
    Is it me of we seem a bit lethargic. Need so more energy there or is it all these little pulls and pushed disturbing the play that’s being ignored completely by the ref???
     
    Been pretty good so far. We haven't been that bad, Played some nice football but all for a lack of a player dealing with a situation in front of him. Score line is not what we want but some positives, Dalot, Martinez, Kobi and Mount.
    Mount looks a different plaayer to what we seen last year.

    What’s Mount done wrong? He’s kept the ball very well despite being surrounded most of the time.
     
    Amad made all the wrong decisions today. Stupid from ETH to play him when the lad lost his mother yesterday.
     
    Ten Hag's philosophy of "let's stick with a winning team" might make sense except the team that started against Fulham didn't win the game.

    We had to make a lot of subs at 0-0 to win the game.

    Effectively the starting 11 were rewarded for a 0-0 draw against Fulham and the subs having to come on and rescue them.

    Garnacho, Zirkzee are the only players who have scored or assisted this season, they should have been in contention to start today.

    And obviously we didn't buy De Ligt to watch Harry Maguire play football.

    Alternatively, Mount has probably been the best player in our forward line today and his pressing has been on point.

    I find it baffling how many people think Mount has been 'really poor'. Poor at what? He's vital at the front press and overall tidy on the ball if not spectacular.
     
    Brighton are not the best team out there that’s why is sucks we are behind. Not taking our chances early on and then going behind has been the script of last season and I hope it doesn’t continue this season too. Should we winning this but we making it so difficult for ourselves.

    Yeah, said it last season our abysmal defensive side was helping overlook how clueless we looked in attack.
     
    Watch how Brighton step it up in second half while we mess around trying stupid passes or inaccurate passes . Could end up embarrassing.

    Sure, but I also think this is now two games in a row where it's evident that this system just isn't very threatening in possession with Mount/Bruno up top. There has to be a balance found with different personell there because those two just aren't going to threaten backlines much and it's not like we have Vini and Salah on the wings to carry a huge amount of the attacking burden. If Rashford was actually good I'd be more confident in it.

    Yeah as soon as possible.

    We've been OK, but a major achilles heel for us under EtH is not being able to win games after going behind.

    So many opponents have the quality to sucker-punch you in the league, and not just us but the top teams too.

    But a lack of cutting edge and casual defending at key moments are now a trademark of this team.
     
    bruno needs to stop coming so deep, let the back 4 and cas / mainoo deal with it. that touch map theyve just shown is woeful. suggests why we cant sustain any attacks, we just dont have the numbers.
     
    Is Mount only allowed to shoot at the keeper in the middle of the goal?

    And so we should be. We are strikerless and are playing an extra midfielder.

    I’d bet good money that exactly the same issues we had last season in midfield will be present once Hojlund comes back into the team.
     
    For someone who is supposedly on thin ice Erik really isnt helping himself whe he is starting Amad who isnt ready, Rashford who's head isnt in it, choosing to start with Maguire when the much better De Ligt is available, and leaving Zirkzee on the bench instead of starting him when we have no other striker available.
