Agreed. Martinez still looks leggy, Maguire has been poor, Mazraoui has been average and Amad has disappointed. Casemiro not precise with his passing, but Mainoo, Dalot, and Mount have all been really good. Bruno OK, Rashford better than last match, especially tracking back.
He's watching to learn what not to do.I am in holiday but also streaming the game , saw some bits but I can't tell, is Brighton dominating as the stats show we had more possession and more shots and so on?

But the fact that I expect us to not be that much better than Brighton, if at all, is the problem.
I wanted to write it after the opening game that it 'feels' like another 6th-8th in the table sort of season. It's obviously very early.
I'm facing these thoughts again today which is fine- still early. new players to bed in [is there going to be a season where this doesn't apply? if so, fans will go mad for the lack of signings anyway].
We're most probably a better team than last season with a better squad overall.
But we're not much of a team anyway.
Hopefully the players and coach prove me wrong, I'd be delighted.
I just wish that the new people on our board (this Omar Berada fella and other I'm not too familiar with) are watching the games and have an idea developing- whether they see something in ETH that can lead as forward. whether we look like a team that resembles what great teams of the past (be it Fergie's, Pep's, Klopp's, whoever) did when they first hit their cycles to the top.
I'm frustrated and don't make much of my own judgement.
Hopefully the people who really need to know football to very good levels in our club will know better.

Yeah, even his dribbling looks off. It’s not been a good game for him. Looks like he’s continuing, so I hope he can turn things around second half.
The goal seems like about 5 mistakes. Like half the team just switched off. Rashford and Dalot don’t press before the cross, Maguire inexplicably letting it go, Amad not with it at the back post and nobody tracking Welbeck.
We were in control but couldn’t produce some attacking play to save our lives.
This team can do much better.I think we can see that it is worth it to upgrade on Maguire with how we want to play. Amad unfortunately prob not in the right frame of mind, should be replaced by Garna.

People on here have their scapegoats in advance, no matter what. I am still laughing when people blamed Onana for Dalot's mistake. Hilarious stuff.Zirkzee and Garnacho should come in at some point and we can still salvage this. Mount has been alright, Amad and Rashford often frustrating.
Maguire should've cleared the ball before the goal, but Martínez and the whole defense behind Maguire was switched off during the cross so it's not solely his fault...of course everyone is blaming him, though..No Garnacho and Amad still out there shows Ten Hag hasn't learnt anything.
