I disagree, the new signings are no worse than the rubbish served up by the ones now replacing them. He’s just going to keep switching between them all until he lands on something that works.
I'm at the point where I'm prepared to judge the new signings under someone else within reason timewise. I'm not sure anyone will good for a sustained period of time in the current tactical set-up.

Manchester United Team vs Aston Villa: Onana, Mazraoui, Maguire, Evans, Dalot, Mainoo, Eriksen, Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford, Hojlund

    Both Center backs dropped.

Great defence. All that money spend and we’re still lining up with Evans and Maguire. Comical

Its very simple - If you want Manchester United to lose then your not a Manchester United supporter.
Agreed. Those "supporters" need to take up another hobby. I get that plenty don't like ETH and I'm no big fan of his or some of the other managers Ed Woodward appointed in the last decade but as bad as things got I never hoped or was happy to see United beaten

That cnut needs sacked for this alone. I don’t care if we win, you can’t spend all the money and bench nearly all of your signings.

Aston Villa XI: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; Tielemans, Philogene, Rogers, Ramsey, Bailey; Watkins.

Man Utd XI: Onana; Mazraoui, Evans, Maguire, Dalot; Mainoo, Eriksen; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.

No issue if players who haven't played well or need more time to bed in are left out.

However, if we lose to Villa anyway then I can't imagine ETH's case with INEOS will be helped by him opting to leave out so many of the players they bought or signed-off on this summer. It hardly screams "this is the guy we should trust to make the best use of the players we recruit for the team".

Man Utd XI: Onana; Mazraoui, Evans, Maguire, Dalot; Mainoo, Eriksen; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.

    Yeeeeeeesh. This could be bad.

We’re going to get torn apart unfortunately, Maguire and Evans will make some mistakes, Mainoo and Eriksen don’t have the legs to cover their midfield, Bruno will run around all over the place trying to hard and Rashford won’t track back at all and leave his full back looking like he has no idea what he’s doing.

Apart from that I’m looking forward to the game!

Dropping De Ligt & Martinez was fair enough after the last two games but Mainoo, Eriksen & Bruno in midfield seems suicidal at best.

Can't imagine Ashworth & co. will be impressed with how badly ETH has handled the new signings.

Ouf that is a rough team. The spine of that team is fecking slow as hell. Front 3 have pace but the center backs do not work with that midfield 3 at all.

Hopefully the last time we have to deal with Ten Hag. Tired of this guy

I'd never want us to lose, but I fully expect it. I've never felt this sense of inevitability for a while. I just can't see where our luck will come from today. Villa won't allow us get away with what Porto did. Kickoff is early enough so I'm sure we will hear some news on his sacking tonight into the morning.

Odd that Ugarte isn’t starting. Can see us getting overrun in midfield, although Eriksen does help us on the ball.

His (maybe) last game sums him up. 5th and 6th CD choice start game just because they had good 20 minutes game before. All new signings are left on the bench.

He is mad with old and slow CBs. Eriksen might be on form but his pace is going to be exposed. No ball winner in the middle. ETH is asking to be sacked.

It’s 2024 and Evans and Maguire are starting for Man Utd in a must win agains Villa.
It just sounds wrong on so many levels.

Eriksen keeps starting because the team can't pass a ball more than five yards without him on the pitch.

Looking at the spine of that defence and midfield they probably cant run 5 yards either

We are going to get absolutely run through in midfield and will have to sit deep with Maguire and Evans having zero pace inviting yet more pressure

Bet Villa score 3 at a minimum
