Maybe, but our record under interim managers is poor. We were middling under Giggs, woeful under Rangnick and Carrick was too short to judge.I do agree with you (I always support United to win and will be doing so today) but, even if we are getting a new manager next summer, we still need to do as well as possible for the rest of this.
Yes, the best case is that Erik does a decent enough job to get us top 4 or wins the Europa but does that seem likely to happen given how inept he appears to be at most aspects of managing this team? If we lose today and get an interim in, I strongly suspect that we will be far better off in a month’s time than if we scrape a draw and keep Erik.
I hate the thought of this season being a write off six games into the league, so no idea what's best, given the lack of clarity on who's available.
