    This was my exact point that some people took exception to for some reason.
    You can’t spend a fortune on the midfield and defence to still field Eriksen, Maguire and 90 year old Jonny Evans.
     
    WTF is Hag doing? So now we have the slowest pairing of centre halves in the history of football and this De Ligt character who every one was raving about has been dropped for a 36 year old soon to be retired player?
    I give up, now I said why do Bayern Munich want to sell DeLigt if he’s so good? Apparently it was to do with finance and a surplus of centre halves.

    If you were the guys who recruited or signed off on these players being recruited, I doubt you wanted to see the manager benching them in a clutch game by October.

    Our fans are something else. Unbelievable.
    Maguire was utter shit for two years now and cost us points and points.
    But all what it was needed is one header and fans forgot everything.
    Same story is with other players. All what is needed is one good game.
     
    Wow that's a pretty horrific team. Maybe he pulls it off but starting Maguire, Evans and Eriksen when we should have got rid of them in the summer is pretty damning.

    Bruno continuing to play despite his horrific form. De Ligt, Martinez, Casemiro, Antony, Ugarte and Zirkzee all his signings and only on the bench despite huge money paid for them.

    I hope I'm wrong but I feel we will get played off the park today.

    Ugarte is only in the door. Hojlund was always going to be first choice once fit and De Ligt has played a lot since he's come in and been a mixed bag really.

    I don't think it's all that strange.
     
    People rightly worried we'll get overrun in midfield but a sign of how bad our recruitment has been is that we could have had it ourselves for nothing (Barkley and Tielemans).

    We’d be still getting overrun with more technical midfielders. The balance in the side is a mess and he refuses to be pragmatic to address it.
     
    What a weird manager. All other managers feeling the knife at their throat fields a defensive team. A team to grind out a result. This maniac put out a team without legs, a captain in his worse form ever and a pair of centre back who we tried to replace for two seasons.

    I have been following United for over thirty years, this must be one of the worst elevens in premier league ever, form and quality all summed up.

    Evans, Maguire and Ericsson as our centre block. Villa players must be frothing.
