If it’s true then at least he’s trying something, genuinely crazy if he’s dropped all the signings though.

I predicted Evans and Maguire  Tbh it has every chance of being a better pairing than MDL-Licha

Hearing its Maguire and Evans CB

    ........

No Zirkzee, Ugarte, Martinez or De Ligt and he bought them all
If he goes back to this then he’s saying De Ligt isn’t good enough which is a huge worry. He needs to be getting the most out of his signings. Maguire was out the door last year as he’s not good enough for us and Evans is a 5th choice, last saloon, CB. They both have mistakes in them say as the others.

He is not saying that at all

    Onana

    Mazraoui
    Casemiro
    Maguire
    Dalot

    Ugarte
    Mainoo
    Eriksen

    Garnacho
    Hojlund
    Rashford

    Yep. It’s:

Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Evans, Dalot; Mainoo, Eriksen, Fernandes; Garnacho, Hojlund, Rashford.

Mental how we aren't really playing with a proper DM yet we've spent about 140m on 2 sat on the bench

Incredible scenes to unfold, as Erik ten Hag starts himself up front alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy.

    Aston Villa 3 - 1 Manchester United

    Duran (3, 19) Tielemans (57)

    ten Hag (90 + 6)

My worry is that Watkins with his pace and running power is going to cause those two a fair bit of problems. I expected De Ligt and Maguire.

I'm not surprised Martinez was dropped.

Eriksen starting games as well apparently we were open to letting him leave for free at one point in the summer

It's pure fecking chaos behind the scenes isn't it you can feel the panic

He is not saying that at all
He needs to stick with a team that he thinks is his best and get them performing to a high standard. Not constantly switching players.

I hope he persists with De Ligt and Martinez and gets them to form a solid partnership.

It’s beyond a joke. He has no idea how to man manage a squad.

They've all been shite since they were signed whereas Martinez is clearly out of form.

Not surprised he's gone for a more trusted line-up when it matters most. Makes sense.

    Still can't see us winning.

It's not really outrageous tbh when you think about it. I'd argue the Maguire-Evans pairing has been coming anyways

De Ligt hasn't reached Maguire's levels in his first few outings in the PL so far, and Evans is physically better suited to be a wide defender out of possession, than Martínez is.

If Lindelöf wasn't out injured I'd reckon it would be Maguire-Lindelöf again

2:2. Just enough for ETH to avoid sack.

I can't believe a draw saves his job. A point means we stay in 14th place, 10 points off the top and (best case scenario) 6 points off 4th. After 7 games!

The question should probably be why are 150m+ worth of signings not being able to perform

What metric you using for that out of interest?
It’s called covering your bases to allow for maximum managerial criticism.

If United win - told you so, nothing special
If United lose - how did he lose to these?!

The sarcasm metric peppered with some delusional optimism

You guys will probably wipe the floor with us

You know the rules, three month ban if there's no white text apparent!

TBF I'd say be expecting to lose this if it was being played at OT. Interestingly that's a final day fixture so will see if either team has anything to play for then.

Where are the people who were giving our transfer window a 9/10 rating? Not one of our new lads is good enough to start and you can't really argue with it. Shocking recruitment again, and I just hope it's because Ashworth and Vivell didn't start soon enough.

Fake scoreline. Duran doesn’t start matches, bro

Exactly this, to me he’s saying he can’t train the players he’s bought to perform to a level higher than the players he was willing to let go cause they haven’t been good enough.

That’s on him and he needs to go.

Nothing will happen. The board has not given him the dreaded vote of confidence.

He will be here till December

Yeah totally agree. I'd be optimistic if it were at OT because I'm sure our fans would be right behind us knowing how much Ten Hag and the team are under pressure. Being at Villa Park it genuinely just feels like an opportunity for a team in much better form to stick the knife in.

I disagree, the new signings are no worse than the rubbish served up by the ones now replacing them. He’s just going to keep switching between them all until he lands on something that works.
