    I hope we figure out a way to defend corners against them, I can see them trying to block Onana and use the screen/shoving to get our defenders away from the ball, hopefully we counter it
     
    One thing that has to change is our record against the big teams.

    Ten hags team was way too open and chaotic in transition. This meant that the good teams absolutely battered us.
    I hope Amorim is more prudent with his approach.

    We were unlucky to not win at the Emirates last time with garnas dodgy offside goal and a clear penalty on hoijlund not given.

    Hope we beat arsenal this time. We need to be careful on set pieces and also keep the ball
     
    Mainoo is a big miss in this 1.

    I'd bench Casemiro for this game. Not a big fan of Bruno in a midfield 2, but him and Ugarte might be our best pairing for Arsenal.
     
    It’s crazy to think that if we beat them we’re potentially 2 points off 2nd place.

    A Man City esque collapse by Liverpool in 2025 could prove to be the most beautiful thing we’ve ever witnessed as Man Utd supporters.

    Pretty bad ground for us. In recent years it’s absolutely shocking. 6 losses in the last 7 seasons. Always seems to be a big atmosphere for them when they play us. Definitely the two most supported teams in London.

    If we can draw that would be great.

    They are in a top form, playing good and are really tough to break.

    They usually beat us at their ground and to be honest I don't see how we can take one point from them.

    Also, I am really annoyed by set pieces, where they are great and not us.

    I would play this team with three players upfront that can press. Also having both Casemiro and Ugarte to protect the middle.

    I would be a bit annoyed with Dalot vs Saha in one to one, and hope Ugarte comes to help.

    Except Amad, we have no counter attacking players (which can be useful), but I'd rather start like this with more press and ball retention and then introduce Garnacho, Rashford if the score is favorable
     
    Feels like a free hit, with all the pressure on Arsenal.
    No result here would surprise me, but cautiously optimistic that we walk away with something here.

    Going for 2-1 squeaky win, but would be happy with 1-1 honestly.

    I went with the exact same lineup, with Rashford and Garnacho coming off the bench in the second half to try and exploit any tired Arsenal player.
    The midfield of Casemiro, Ugarte, Bruno and Mount is probably the safest in and out of possession, unfortunately the pace will be an issue.

    If we defend really well I actually think we could nick a win here. They’ll play an high line so there should be some chances for our attackers. We need to take them like against Everton

    I love Amad and rate him highly but this is too much. I don’t care much for Saka but he has been a key player for an Arsenal that’s pushed City close to the title past couple seasons. Amad has barely a tenth of the games Saka has had at the highest level so to say Amad will soon reach his levels is serious overhype. This may be up for discussion in a season or two’s time but not when Amad has only just gotten his first short run of games in the first team.
     
    A draw would be a really good result for United, but I fear that when Amorim talked about us inevitably suffering at some points of the season while the new system beds in, this was the type of game he had in mind. They are a lot better than us and, as we saw in the first 20 minutes against Everton, we are still very open - the difference this time is that we are playing a team that is capable of scoring a lot of goals.

    If the result does go against us, we just need to remember that this process is a marathon not a sprint - Amorim is (hopefully) laying the groundwork for a better season in 2025/26.

    Maguire with a shout to start ahead of glass Shaw, Mount should but probably won't be ahead of Rashford, would not mind him instead of Casemiro.

    Unfortunately a see a loss, especially if they score early we might crumble, the defensive shape is still fragile.

    I think Rashford will play a great role against Arsenal as well. He's a fantastic scorer when in position.

    Playing the game earlier wouldn't really disturb the US or the asian audience in any significant way I believe. Why do they do this?! Any local reason in the UK?
     
    Not what I want to happen but wouldn't be shocked if Amad didn't start after his endeavours on Sunday. I could see Yoro or even Anthony coming in for him, trying to keep it tight, and bringing him on last half hour.

    If it was at 7pm UK time, it could be tricky for fans to get there after work, to be fair.
     
    Massive game this and I can see it being very entertaining.

    Arsenal are clear favorites and my head says they will win but I'm much more optimistic than I was a few weeks ago.

    I think Ugarte has to start.

    Really hard picking a team at the moment though. We could easily see Rashford up top, or see Bruno deeper, Dalot could be one of the CBs, or Maguire could come in.

    Quite nice problems to have really.
     
    Arsenal away will always be a tough fixture in my mind but that said I never dread it like I do Liverpool away.I always think we have a chance there. I've great memories of the 6-2 when Sharpe scored 3 maybe that's it

    Watch football, hes been the main player in terms of making Arsenals attack work for the past 3 years (the best attack in the PL during that period). Look what happened whilst he was injured recently and what happened as soon as he came back.
     
    I have these 2 headlines playing in my mind

    1- the wheels have come off - a game too early
    2- Amorim has arrived - finally players enjoying their football
     
    Midweek premier league matches, what a pleasant surprise.

    Going to be a very interesting game. Will show how pragmatic Amorim can be.

    I imagine his pragmatism is what ended up in his win against city, am I wrong?

    Corners like other said will be a possible problem but mazrouhi and Shaw dealing with Saka is a huge part of it.
