Come on lads, we need take this.

Watching the pre-game coverage on MUTV, hoping the lineups will be announced asap!

Ajax XI vs. Man Utd: Onana; Veltman, Sánchez, De Ligt, Riedewald; Schöne, Klaassen, Ziyech; Traoré, Dolberg, Younes.

Traore vs Darmian is going to be interesting. I'd have gone for Smalling and Jones at CB with Blind as a left back for this one.

Well, I'm not finishing in the top 20 in the lineups prediction league this year.

Mata ahead of Lingard, Fellaini ahead of Carrick, Smalling ahead of Jones.

Hope Jose's spot on with these choices. Could make or break the occasion, really!

Expected line up, Blind and Smalling need to be at their absolute best tonight or they can really punish us. Darmian's been playing well recently so let's hope he continues with that.

I don't understand why Jose picks Smalling and Fellaini against a footballing side, makes no sense, they are not an aerial threat so Fellaini and Smalling aren't required.

Really nervy about this, not feeling confident at all right now, need Pogba to have a good game to stand a chance.

I had Jones instead of Smalling, but wouldn't complain.

Mata gives us the experience, and he's normally clinical in front of goal. Smalling, as others have said, has played with Blind a lot more than Jones.
I wouldn't have complained about Smalling either.
I agree that Mata is as good choice for his ability to impact the final third. Lingard has a habit of scoring in finals for us though.

It actually makes quite a lot of sense.

Fellaini isn't there to counter the aerial threat. But the high press.

The Liverpool game perfectly illustrated why, and it properly riled Klopp who didn't have an answer to it after we changed things up.

Bailly's suspension is mightier than we thought it would be. Blind was the worst player on the pitch against Celta & Smalling has declined(perhaps the worst defender in the whole of Greater Manchester area).

I can understand Fellaini, but Smalling? Can't see the rational of playing him today, ahead of Jones.

Its important to note Smalling has better synergy with Blind than Jones, I don't think Jones and Blind even started any competitive games together.

Smalling this, Blind that. Boh, ya boring.

If Mourinho and the attacking players play this game with flair, aggression and positivity then we win. It's that simple.

If we play negatively, use Mata and Mkhitaryan as auxiliary full backs and invite Ajax pressure then we'll suffer the consequences.

    Score two goals, please.

We could pump the ball over the top of the press to Pogba, Fellaini can't do anything with it when he gets it so there's no counter by passing it to him, we should be pressing them instead of letting them come onto us, it's what they want and eventually they'll circumvent an immobile lump with how quickly they move.

That's what everyone's told us they are, but after beating 2009 Barca, in Celta Vigo, this Barca side should be no issue.
Lol hope so. If we win though I'll sit down and watch the game again because this will be torture watching live.
