Needs to be dropped. All the talk about "earning your place" will fall flat if he still starts games.
He's playing with someone with twice his experience who is throwing a strop because of being played "out of position" and someone with even less experience than he has. Not necessarily making excuses but let's review what he can do once we get someone who gives a shit for him to link up with

Valencia never developed a left foot in all his time. Being one footed isn't the problem - if your plan A is good enough to deliver the goods. Loads of good or even great players were hideously one footed, but they were still undefendable because their other qualities overwhelmingly great.
Antony is hideously one footed and has no elite qualities. That's the problem.
He might not have amazing end product but I think EtH really values his pressing ability above much else. Perhaps he will perform somewhat better when Højlund enters. But we really overpaid at the end of day.

Valencia had pace. That was his quality. He was very one dimensional also.
Nothing wrong with being one footed, but even good players can atleast pass or cross with their weaker foot, even Giggsy developed a right foot.

Being a good player who can actually beat a fullback and actually be able to use his weaker foot would be a start. The odd few goals and assists isn’t enough, he needs to become a dangerously effective wide player in ALL phases of play not just the counter. He does not have it
One of the most braindead posts I have seen in over 10 years on the caf. Of course the fee matters. There's such a thing as a transfer budget, of which 80m is a massive portion to spend on a player that quite frankly isn't even looking worth 40m. Spending such a large sum and not getting a return on investment in terms of performance is a huge issue - I don't see how you can argue otherwise.

Yes and no. It matters mostly to smaller clubs who don't have a lot of money to spend. We spend hundreds of millions every summer. Our issue is that we have been buying average players for years, the problem isn't the fee itself. This is why we need a DoF.
