This is what happened last time... Papers like the Mirror etc reported it, but then added "According to Spanish Outlet Sport" etc

It's like Eden Hazard all over again, 10 years later. Time is a flat circle.

I really like how you’ve leaned into your muppetry. How many posts are you up ton on this thread alone?

What’s the all time Caf record for posts by a single member on a single thread?
My only goal is to see Frenkie in red dude. Everything else is irrelevant.

This whole saga has become very boring, I’m actually not that arsed if we get him or not at this point.

If this is Pace then Maguire is Usian Bolt
Plus, the original report was made 4 hours ago. The bid was supposed to be "within hours" are they packing the wheelbarrows with £1 coins as we speak, readying the strong men to get it across Europe to Barca?

Also, assuming Chelsea are in for him.. why would he go there? Does he only love Barca until the mighty Chelsea come in? It’s utter nonsense

Not a single Chelsea reporter has touched this report since it was released.

Both guys reporting it are Tier 3, but because they report for Relevo, they're classed as very reliable. I mean come on...

This was done last time, and it'll be done again and again until he either stays at Barca or Comes to United

Indeed, love how people A- believe this rumour so easily and B- think Chelsea come in and wrap it up easily

Who is holding up the deal at this point? If we believe what we're reading, it sounds like Barcelona are playing games over the deferred wages they owe FDJ, so surely it's time to start cranking up the pressure on them? They are the club who are in a mess financially and have just bought more players they won't be able to register if they don't make some cash back.

I think at this point I'd tell Barcelona that FDJ is less and less valuable to us the more of our pre-season they waste, so we'll decrease our offer by £10m at the end of this week and at the end of next week our total and final offer will decrease once and for all to be £50m, at which point we'll be focusing on other targets if this deal isn't concluded.

There are plenty of footballers out there who we could pursue, we're falling into the trap of being so focused on one target that we're letting the other side dictate all the terms

Different outlets are starting to report D Jong to Chelsea. Not looking good for us :(
This is why we like Fridgey being distracted by lower league transfer tweets, but you feckheads had to complain about that didn't ya?

Am i right in thinking the last time these tweets and links came out about Chelsea, Romero was on it right away and confirmed it quick.
This time he's not mentioned it to my knowledge. You'd have thought he'd be on it, even Sport would be on it in some way or other... you know how they love to dig the knife into United lately

Play in a team that can challenge for the best league in the world? Play in a team that can win the Champions League? Play under under a top class coach who has won the Champions League? Play with loads of other top class players? Live in a world class city like London?

He absolutely won’t come here (because we’re not actually after him) but to act like there’s no reason for him to want to come to Chelsea is weird.

It's because Chelsea are New Money, so it's difficult for some people to take you seriously.

A literary example would be that you're like Gatsby. No matter how hard you try to fit in, buy expensive cars and lavish homes, you'll still just be poor in our eyes. Whereas United are like Daisy. Constantly talking about how we're superior because of our Old Money wealth, kicking homeless people in the face, drinking our own urine etc.

because the ones available are barely better than Fred for the money in EtH eyes.

I don’t see how Barca are dictating any terms to us. We have put an offer in, they accepted. We have otherwise had nothing else to do with theproblem??

One of my favourite books of all time. But for all his failings I always kinda liked Gatsby. Or at least pitied him a bit. I feel neither for Chelsea.

Chill out.

I wasn’t actually digging out Chelsea, more just pointing out that all the reports for him not wanting to come here are simply because he loves Barca and wants to stay. Assuming that’s true, why would that change if Chelsea came calling?

When the feck did you last challenge for a league? We’ve finished higher than you in two of the past three seasons, and we’re shite
A team that CAN challenge for the league. As in future tense.

Also, what did you finishing higher than us get you? Feck all.

Voted the best city in the world
why the fuk is life so hard for us to sign a top target when Munich can go start a talk and within a few days sort out a fee with Juve for deLigt?? 67m for him is a decent fee considering his age and experience

meanwhile we continue to age page after page of the same rhetoric....blah blah blah
Because we’re not competitive at the top end of European and domestic competition at the moment. That makes it harder. Hell, we can’t even guarantee champions league football, let alone winning titles.

I also heard (read) that de Ligt always wanted to play for bayern, which helps.
