Zlatan Ibrahimovic

It's more to do with Guardiola, he believes in team spirit and wants a tight unit. Eto'o is very volatile and Guardiola feels like he cant count on him. Also apparently Messi and Eto'o don't get on too well.

Yes, and Guardiola's seen first hand the effects of complacency following a league/Champions League double as Barcelona so perfectly demonstrated during the trophyless 2006/07 season. Bringing in Ibrahimovic doesn't particularly strengthen the squad, but keeps everyone hungry and on their toes.

I read that Messi would n't speak to Eto'o after the Sporting Match (Cl Group stages) at the Nou camp because he did not let him take the penalty, probally bollox though

Definately. Over the course of the season they took turns.

The best comp on Zlatan I have seen. The guy who did it is a genius.

I've watched Zlatan for years to know how good he is. IMO he is the most complete striker in the world, he would be considered the best in the world in a heartbeat but for a lack of great performances/goals in the CL Knockouts. I hope he bangs them in next year and then there will be no doubt.

If he was to go to Barca, with their service he would get 30-40 goals easy.

By the way that first 2 minutes of his heel kick reminded me of Stojkovic..

yes, just yes Dragan yes.

Has it all been officially sealed yet?

All Inters Christmases have come at once here, they must be absolutely pissing themselves

Amazing deal for them. Laughing all the way to the bank is what they'll be doing.

Ibrahimovic was the symbol of Inter over the past few years. He was a key player in bringing them the success they had and a firm favourite with the fans. He could have went down as a club legend if he stayed at the club and he will be a massive miss from Italian football.

The deal is silly but that is modern football and since Ronaldo and Kaka are with 80-60mil then Zlatan is worth the same.

That's just silly. And anyway, going by your logic, if Zlatan is worth 60-80 million, then Eto is worth 80-100, and thats really stupid.

As an all round player Zlatan is easily better than Eto. Eto is probably the best around at just sticking the ball in the net but Zlatans all around game is superior.

I can't wait to see him at Barca, they will be even better with him IMO.

They will finally have an option B when its needed.

Ibra outperfomed Kaka for the majority of his time in Serie A.

Eto'o had one year left on his contract and the club want to sell him. When a club want to sell a player they take much les than he is truely worth. Where as when a club dont want to sell (United, Inter, Milan) they require more than they are worth in order to justify letting their prized asset go.

I dont think any of them are worth it believe me it's a farce the money going about but in the context he is in that bracket.

Hang on, did you just rate Zlatan on the same level as Ronaldo?:wenger::eek::lol:

Exactly, people seem to be ignoring the fact that Ibra is a presence on the pitch. He will be the go to guy when the fancy flicks and pass pass pass. He is the only player in world football who is amazing at both aspects of the game and that is why he'll be invaluble for a team like Barca.

Barca almost got undone by the ultra defensive tactics of chelsea and if they play them or another EPL club again they know they will come close to losing because these teams just defend and look to steal the game. With Ibra they can go route one, the way chelsea can and do very often with Drogba and it can create chaos for defenders.

:wenger: You've lost it mate

We'll see, after one good season at barca and some performances in europe, God forbid they win it again i think people will come around the the fact he is a great player. One of the best in the world.

Same level? absolutely, they are both world class players.

Just don't rely on him to score. Lets not forget, 6 years of CL football, no goal in the knockout stage. Definatly a player worth 60-80 million there. :wenger:

No he's not.

He's been better than kaka. So kaka is and zlatan isnt. Why?

let me guess, Kaka was great one season in europe....

Forget domestic success, meaningless for Ibra to win titles at every club, be a key player in title winning Juve sides before being the man at inter picking up top scorer and player of the year awards whilst kaka struts his stuff on occasion in europe....

Jesus Christ :wenger:

You're deluded and completely biased mate.

Don't be a plank mate. Do you really think that Zlatan is nowhere near Ronaldo? Your the one being deluded if you think that.

If Zlatan had scored goals in the CL knockout would you have same view YES or NO.

He has more ability than probably any other player in the world, he just doesn't utilize it in the way the others do.

I hope that's a sick joke. Come back and say that IF Zlatan wins world player of the year or even scores in the CL knock out stages (no excuses anymore).

Rooney's creativity and ability to control a game is just as good as Zlatan (And he's younger). So is Rooney on the same level as ronaldo too?

If you'd put Zlatan in that Milan team and Kaka in that Inter team, I would bet my life on Kaka being the one outperforming Zlatan, and with some ease. Truth is Kaka was having to lead a very average and aging Milan team, while Zlatan playing in a Inter team that was miles better then any of the competition in Seria A. So he was bound to outperform him. Once it got to the CL though, he went missing, as always. Kaka didnt when on the same stage.

No, not 'we'll see', you just said he's on the same level and worth the same as Kaka and Ronaldo

Completely delusional

People don't doubt he's a very good player. The problem is folk like you come along and make him out to be more than he is, despite the fact the evidence shows he's never done it. Certainly not to the levels of the players you're comparing him too

WOW, stupidity finds a new level, well of course we'd rate him HAD HE SCORED, BUT HE HASN'T, has he? Not a SINGLE goal in the knockout stages in 6 seasons and you dare compare him to ronaldo. If Rooney could score as much as ronaldo did in the latter stages, then he'd be on the same level but he hasn't, so he isn't.

Let me state something just as obvious as what you just said. If I could score in the latter stages of the champions league, then I'd be a professional footballer.........WELL DURRR;)

Not even close.

If Zlatan had scored goals in the CL knockout would you have same view YES or NO.

But he hasn't. :wenger: Not in 6 years. In the same time Ronaldo's been winning world player of the year and score plenty of CL goals. Zlatans just gone missing year after year after year.

He has more ability than probably any other player in the world,

:lol::lol::lol:

Or maybe, just maybe. He's not as good as them? Ever considered that. Just a little bit of a possibility?

Exactly my point, I'd wager anything that Berbatov is more effective next season in the CL, than Zlatan.

The worst argument in the history of football rears its head again.

You fecking morons do realize that before Messi scored against Lyon he had "never scored in the knockout stages in the champions league so must be totally shite  :wenger: "

Since when did scoring a single goal become the most important thing for a player to do in order to get any recognition?

a waste of time having any discussion about players playing outside the realm of peoples narrowmindedness around here sometimes.

I just wish he went to PL, it took Drogba and Torres a season odds to be declared the best strikers in the world after a couple of goals there no doubt the same would have happend had Ibra gone. A shame he's chosen Barca and i'll have to listen to the same bullshit over and over and over "La Ligas shit! i could score 50 in that league, Serie A is shit i could score 40 in that league, he cant even score against an english team, he cant do that!!! "

Here is to Zlatan proving you all wrong, he probably wont but i'll still love watching him play

Listen mate, there was a time when Ronaldo couldn't score in the CL either, and was called a CL bottler. Then he went and did it and never looked back. Zlatan should have scored in the KO by now, of course he should have and ofcourse this is why he won't get the very top honours but his ability is amazing that cannot be denied.

Sure, a total donkey could score a tap in the CL but that would not make him a pro.

a couple of donkeys scored against United for Porto, obviously they are the real deal i mean they scored in the CL knockout stages!!!!!

Like I said in the post above, there was a time when Ronaldo was considered a big game bottler too. It didn't take him that many CL KO goals to prove that wrong. Zlatan has scored CL goals just not in the KO stages.

Or maybe, just maybe. He's not as good as them? Ever considered that. Just a little bit of a possibility?

Sure he may not be as good as them, but you say that he is nowhere near them which isn't true. He has won the league at every club he has gone too, and has scored in big-games, the only thing that people like you rate him is on goals in the CL KO stage.

Erm Messi is 21, Zlatan is 27. If Messi went till the age of 27 without scoring in the CL knock out stages, then people won't put him in the top bracket.

Good to see you have such confidence in his ability to step up when it matters; "he probably won't"

We've all gathered that you'll love him regardless mate.

:wenger::wenger::wenger:

I don't know whether this is a WUM? Surely it has to be?

You do realise that Messi isn't 27 years old, hasnt been playing in the CL for 6 years, and also isnt a bloody striker.

He is infact just 22 years old, has probably played at most 2 CL's as a regular starter, and yet he's already scored more then Zlatan, has already won it twice, and is hailded as arguably the best player in the world. Thats why the likes of Messi and Ronaldo are on a different level, no a different planet from the likes of Zlatan.
