Indeed, been saying it a lot. Pogba is probably a pipe dream and probably Koke as well. Saul i think could be a good fit. Kanté might be able to be instructed to make more forward runs, especially if we play 4-3-3 with a DM behind. But, yeah, otherwise Herrera, Rooney and maybe Schneiderlin can do it. Don't think further investment in CM is key for Zlatan to perform, he'd perform with our current team, but it would certainly help. Personally think RW and CB are the most important positions for us to strengthen in now.
I'm not sure. I'd say Pogba, Saul and even Rooney tend to gravitate towards the ball as more of a playmaker than anything else. They like to be involved in the build up, dictate play and pick precise moments to make forward movements. Kante is far better off the ball than on it, but more so on the defensive side. He'd be great in a two man midfield though as he has the energy and is probably closest to Matuidi in that regard. Herrera has excellent movement off the ball, I expect him to thrive next season if he gets games, but I worry that he doesn't have enough steel for a Mourinho team. Really hope Schneiderlin can improve, I think he could thrive under Jose.
