I'm sure Jose has had his scouting team working hard in the build up to his appointment. Don't be shocked to see some new faces get announced soon.
Doesn't look likely unfortunately, I can just about see a bit of blue sky through the cloud out my window! All we need in Manchester now is for the sun to come out!
I am a second-class supporter of MUFC Otherwise, I won't be here

Why do people make out like all footballers age at the same rate?
Well most players do retire around their mid 30's. Particularly strikers. It's not like there's no reason at all to doubt the legs of a 34 year old striker.
Only a matter of time before Jose turns his mind games against the weather and brings us a year round tropical manchester. Thank you based Jose.

Whilst that's obviously true, I don't see what the fuss is about here. He's not a player who has ever relied on pace, and this season he played 50 odd games so based on available evidence, he's not suffering from any long term niggles that might crop up repeatedly.
He's clearly a bloke who keeps himself in shape. His style suits a player playing on because his strength is a footballing brain, rather than raw pace. And he's just had his most productive season ever which regardless of the level he's playing at, reflects positively on his physical condition.
If he does its an attitude thing, hes easily the most talented youth player since Pogba though
I would be more worried about our captains legs than his.35 in October. When will that first match be when we start to think, is he declining? have his legs gone?
Don't want.
Yea 'most', some much younger, some freaks older.
He very much looks like he belongs to the latter category.
Yeah, also he didn't play, at 18, in Premier League like Rooney. Zlatan didn't get over played in his younger days so he's definitely more fit because of that. He can easily keep this level for two more years. He is the embodiment of Asagan.

Not that it's a big difference but he was actually 31 when he signed.
But he actually had his best season for us when he was almost 35 so i get your point.
Back then the whole first team was probably on £250k a week combined
Largely agree. Still, he'd be a massive exception to come here and perform as a 34 year old striker. I don't think there's a comparable example of a striker his age, moving to a speed of football he hasn't played before, in a top league and doing the business. Can't think of one.
So if you think he'll be a success or not it's perfectly reasonable to question his age. It would be odd not to in fact.
yeh i agree with you here, i just dont think its for lack of talentI think it's already too late for him, he should have come on a lot more in the last two years than he has done and those years are important. Either he steps up this season or it's curtains for him.

If United is the club Zlatan is joining, then I think it will be next month or July before it's official
If we announced it in the next week, it would be obvious we have been working on Jose targets before he took charge and while LvG was in charge. It could look bad
Would make much more sense to agree it all in private, tell Zlatan to go enjoy the euros and then confirm it afterwards in public
We don't have to deal with PSG so this deal really shouldn't take long to wrap up. Even with other positions, let's do the majority of our business early, please. We technically fired a manager a couple of hours after he won a trophy and actually fired him two days after. I don't think signing a new player this week is going to be worse than that.If United is the club Zlatan is joining, then I think it will be next month or July before it's official

Bulgaria?! No idea where that idea came fromI thought you were in Bulgaria for some reason. I love the cloudy, rainy, weather...maybe i should move to the UK before the Brexit
He's won a trophy every single season since his career began in 2001.
Wouldn't it be just like us to break another annoying record?
don't think he won anything in 02 and his Juventus scudettos have been revokedHe's won a trophy every single season since his career began in 2001.

Henrik Larsson were 34-35 when we had him on loan for 3-4 months. SAF always said he made a "huge" impact.
You think he needs to? Is it his walk?Jose Jr?

Is it not a bit obvious by now that Swedes- with their quality of living and top 5 ranking on " where to be born list"- are more likely to perform at a high standard well into their late 30s?
I'm sure you've been asked this already but as a PSG fan, do you believe that if Zlatan were to move to the premier league he would be a good addition or would he be more likely to flop?Mourinho means....
