Pep will crumble?I've voted yes and ordered more popcorn
Mou and Ibra, what could go wrong ?
I love Zlatan i would absolutley take him in a hartbeat to United, but like pointed out the only concern is his age. 34 is not very young, and he will be 37 next year.
There is no question what so ever about his ability thought, and he keeps very fit for a 39 year old.
And if its any truth in the rumors about him playing a part with the coaching too, that would be great. Zlatan is the same age as Giggs, so he got alot of experience.
Then maybe after 5 years, he will take over United after Mourinho. As Zlatan will be as old as Mourinho is now it seems like the natural thing to do.
So i am all for it. Even with the high salary and the fact that we probably will have to pay for his funural and tombstone to.
Costa has scored 32 league goals in 54 appearances for Chelsea and he was at least 47 when he joined them ffs. Zlatan will be fine.

Need to keep Rooney for the midweek games when the retirement home want Zlatan home by 8pm.The Rooney to China link seems to have cooled. Such a shame. If we can jettison him then Ibra can take the armband and lead the team good and proper.
...as long as McDonald's is open then, Rooney should be fine with it.Need to keep Rooney for the midweek games when the retirement home want Zlatan home by 8pm.
Why have we not signed him yet
Nothing went wrong at Inter. I think they will win the title here the first season.
They've worked with eachother before if you think they are going to fall out or something

Exactly. Not to mention Jermaine Defoe came back and got 15 goals this year for fecking Sunderland and he's only a year younger.People keep saying "how many strikers have moved to the PL at that age and done well" - how many have made the move at that age at all?
Plus how many were Zlatan?
I wonder if Zlatan would be the new Berba (i.e. brilliant, but not for us)
Yes, people who are 34 tend to turn 35 sometime in the following year.
How many strikers having scored 50 odd goals the previous season have moved to the PL and not done well?
Your wit knows no bounds I can see, pointing out he's 34 when he will be 35 for 90% of the season is stupid, but from the shape of your reply, I understand why you go with it..
It's irrelevant, on that basis, you could say he has dark hair, and players with dark hair do well. You need to understand the important variables. While I realise his game has never relied on speed, he has never played in the PL and will be 35 for the majority of the first season. I am not saying he won't do well, in fact I'd like us to sign him, but the muppetry here is silly, there is a left wing and right wing in this thread whereas I believe the correct version is somewhere in the middle. He would be a good signing, but if you believe he'd score 50 goals in the PL for this Utd side who will have hired a new manager, I'd suggest putting down what you are smoking.
How can you not want Ibra?!?! We have been moaning that the football being played isn't entertaining enough, we sign one of the best players in football that is massively entertaining and people complain saying he costs too much. You are meant to enjoy football not worry about the clubs financial state. I'm sure people inside the club have a much better knowledge of the clubs finances and if they are fine with paying that much why does it bother you?
You're 100% correct. He'll score 51
Who cares how old he is. If he gets us 20 goals in the league, I'll be happy with his performance regardless. It's just about having enough weapons in attack so that Martial isn't being double marked every single moment of the game. He also has the ability to create something out of nothing, which is a trait that has been sorely missing from our second for quite a while now.
How do you know there aren't ? I'd imagine a good number of clubs aren't able to offer the three magical components of the Premier League, high wages, and a reunification with Jose Mourinho.
How do you even know that? He's been linked to Madrid many times. Barca and Bayern don't need him because they have attacking quality already.
And after those clubs United are the biggest team to play for still despite having to CL next season. Italian clubs has no chance in getting him on the wages he want.
Also, Zlatan wants to play in England. And to do that with Mourinho as manager I think that's his dream move.
Maybe, but it isn't a sure bet like some think, I'd take him on a years contract, I just fear Ibra and Rooney being 2 out of 4 of our attacking starting players
Zlatan will be the exception to the rule
Yeah that's my fear. They'll both end up playing and there's just no way that will work.
Let's start building a new team, a young, fresh team with the energy and desire that only comes with youth.
I mentioned neither his form or becoming average, both of which are excellent. I just think for a player his age, it is a dhit load if money.I think there has been no visible decline in his form or game due to the age. So not sure why he would suddenly become average.
Though I agree that the time is running out, he still has 1 or even 2 years at the top level.
So to understand you, we should never post stats from any of the leagues from 5th and down? And sure as feck I back up his stats from this season as 50+19 is amazing even what you try to suggest.
And that's not just Ligue 1. His stats in CL are 5+3 in 10 games including 3 goals against Chelsea and man c. He's shit against English teams..
Why have we not signed him yet
I wouldn't mind him on a year's contract, good option to have, just can't see him and Rooney working together.. Then you have players like Mata and Fellaini who aren't full of pace either.
I think Fellaini, Rooney & Mata should all be sold, move Blind to CM and buy a proper CB and a fast attacking player like Griezmann/ Sanchez/ Reus/ Hazard/ Mane etc
I'm basing the lack of interest from others on media reports. This whole thread is based on media reports as is the potential move to United. So I think that's fair.
If he is a Cantona like 50 goal a season striker then other clubs would be interested. Doesn't matter what they need, there's only about 4 of those players in existence. You go for them. Especially on a free.
The idea that nobody can match what United are offering is crazy. If other clubs were seriously interested of course they could match and exceed what we have. We've just finished fifth, play terrible football and can only offer him Europa football. This in possibly the last year of his career. I also very much doubt he has a burning desire to live in Alderley Edge.
