He's 35 in October. It's a silly age for any striker. And trust me, if a club as rich as PSG wanted to keep hold of him, they would have.
Zlatan has 'silly' stats for any striker. I don't think Zlatan did want to renew his contract for many reasons and last year, the club couldn't expect his recent performances.
But Zlatan Ibrahimovich is different. He is God.
I used to post on a PSG forum. Each player has a dedicated thread. The thread of Zlatan is entitled "Ibrahimovic - God".
Schweinsteiger? He's 3 years younger than Zlatan.
Schweini is another story: he has played most of his career in one club in Germany.
Zlatan left Sweden at the age of 19 to join... the Netherlands and then... Italy and then...Spain and then... Italy and then...France.
Can Zlatan play as a 10 behind Rashford?
No, he can't be considered as a support striker or a traditional #10. However, he alternates between a role of pure striker and a role of 'false 10'.
He needs freedom and to touch the ball so he likes to create opportunities outside the penalty area for the wingers who cut inside for instance.
So it makes sense to have Rashford on the right & Martial on the left.
Mata on the right would be an extremely bad idea like Cavani on the left in Paris.
