The guys on that picture is the same guys who goes with Zlatan on hunting trips in Sweden. So problary nothing special to read into that.

I genuinely think, and I promise I'm not wumming, I genuinely think this may be one of the worst transfers I've ever seen if we sign him.

Can you post the picture here?

Check alexanderostlund instagram account. The compass shows North at 10 o clock. This means he is flying South West (Stockholm to Manchester)

He's thirty fecking five!
Someone with his physique is going to last a lot longer than most. I'd say he had another 2 good years him before he really starts to decline. I can understand people might be a bit sceptical after Falcao, but there's no comparison fitness wise imo.

He's 35 in October. It's a silly age for any striker.

And trust me, if a club as rich as PSG wanted to keep hold of him, they would have.
So many silly posts to respond to i don't even know where to start.. Someone saying it reminded him of shoehorning in strikers (Falcao/RvP/Rooney vs Martial/Zlatan/Rashford). Haha ye, it's not as if the former is a combination of 3 slow central strikers and the latter has two pacey players that have both played wingers this season. Martial especially looking like a natural LW. Rashford can be rotated as backup ST or even play as a starter on the right wing. We should sign a RW, though.

MG. If Zlatan wanted to stay, he would have. PSG's best player ever doesn't have to beg for a contract. He simply wanted a new challenge.

After Falcao??

There has never been an attacking player that old who has come to the Prem and done well. He's thirty five! Don't compare him to Cantona who would have retired five years before when he left United.

I put some money on this the other day so this suits me :smirk:

All you need is 2 good years of him. He'll bring the cocky winner's attitude Cantona had. Veratti said Zlatan's cockiness and confidence helped bring self-belief back to PSG.

Also, having such a great and respected striker might help teach Rashford and Martial a few more tricks to add to their football education. That's invaluable.

And he's free (well, he'll be paid well but think about the transfer fee savings).

In fairness he's come off a very strong season, unlike Falcao who arrived having tried to rush his recovery from a very serious injury. I do to some extent understand your concerns and share many of your grievances about the Mourinho appointment (albeit not to the same extent) but I still think Ibrahimovic has a massive amount of ability, looks like he's still strong physically and will add a bit of character that we desperately miss. The reality is he's maybe the best striker in terms of ability that we would be able to sign and I'd rather we had him for a year or two rather than spending a big fee on a striker who is slightly below the elite level and is more likely to impede the development of Rashford in the coming years.

I was against the idea of zlatan at 1st but I am coming round to the idea

We need a striker. Rashford cannot play every game

If they can get these two to share the role for one season I am all for it

What are you on about? It's a free transfer, allows Rashford plenty of playing time next season to see how he develops, and we don't have to spend £50 million on a striker. How is this not a good signing?
