Agreed i don't rate the french league that highly but i would be impressed if a 34 year old scored that amount in scotland.
Got me thinking.. He was 29 when he did it but Henrik Larsson managed to score more than 50 in one season for Celtic.

I'd still be shocked to see him sign considering the lack of CL next season.

But he has spoken out about his admiration of Mourinho and has stated he would like to work with him again.

I imagine he'd also relish the chance to show that he has what it takes to dominate the PL as he has done France. Would be wonderful if he could in a United Jersey!

I remember thinking at the time yeah it's only scotland but thats an insane amount of goals (the days before Messi and Ronaldo hit 50-60 every year lol).

So for Ibrahimovic to do it in a better league and 5 years older really is an impressive feat.

How could you not want Ibra at united?

Wish more footballers were as big as a character as him.

*speaks some french*, "vive la france" = Massive cheers

Love at 3:45 when I'm guessing the same reporter at a different match where Ibra says don't speak to anyone, the guy says 'Even for low budget TV' and then Ibra references their past conversation and says 'Only to journalist'

Not sure if there's any alternatives for him who can offer the right wages and CL at the same time.

Barca: obviously not
City: obviously not
Real: don't see it at all
Arsenal: Wenger won't sanction a move for a variety of reasons
Bayern: possibly, if and only if Lewandowksi leaves to go to Real. Ancelotti and Ibra might want to link back up.

There's no chance clubs like Atletico, Dortmund and Juve can afford him so you're really only left with Bayern (hugely dependent on Lewa leaving and them fancying him anyway). Chelsea don't have CL either so again it wouldn't be a factor in a competition for his signature against them.

I think it comes down to whether we want him or not. If we do he'll sign cause it's the chance at long last to play in the biggest league for yet another European giant as a figurehead in what's setting up to be a fecking monster of a season. All whilst seemingly at the peak of his powers, we know what his personality is like, he'll want a crack at the biggest stage before fecking off to China or the US. Throw in the fact it would be under Mourinho who made him feel "like a lion" and he'd not turn us down.

Whether it would be a good singing is another matter (I think it would) but quite simply for me: if we want him, we'll get him.

What CL sides could he sign for? Juventus, Chelsea, Arsenal (probably not with Wenger there). I can't think if any other. Realistically, he can't expect to win the CL with any of those teams next season. Don't see the point of going somewhere for just one season of CL football, at his age, if you don't have a big chance of winning it. Better to aim for winning the PL and collecting a nice little paycheck, none of those teams above could match.

Edit: Of course Chelsea are not even in the CL . Well, that only solidifies my thesis.

I think the CL is big to everyone but you can also play to peoples egos. Next season is going to be more like the wild west since you'd think Us, City, Chelsea and a few others will improve. There's new managers that will inspire their teams. Just the Manchester Derby alone might tempt him. We can easily challenge for the league next season. It's so unpredictable that it's going to be fun. Very few (if any) teams fear other teams. Not too much respect given. That could be really appealing. Playing under Jose facing Pep in the Manchester Derby? He'd love that. Hopefully his family are on board.

He's ours I'm certain. We will announce mourinho then a few days later we will announce ibra.

I don't get why he'd want to come here for 1 year when we're not in the CL? Anyone think we'll give him a 2 year deal?

Might give him an option to extend which would suit both parties.

I love the bit when he tells the team behind him to just follow him and not talk to the press. Leadership right there. Ends it perfectly by saying "Because I am the boss"

If that's true then he's a fecking idiot. Xavi was on the decline. Ibra has shown no signs of that. He should continue to challenge himself.

He obviously couldn't handle the Premier League, anyway, and he would be on huge wages. That he doesn't take the punt just proves that he wouldn't be able to handle the league. ;)

What's that based on?

It was just tongue in cheek. I think he could do a decent job in the Premier League, to be honest. Was just poking fun at him going to Qatar, of all places.

Ah I see, my bad. Qatar team only makes sense if they're offering a feck tonne of cash which, let's face it, they probably would. Still I can't believe he doesn't have potential suitors in Europe (for a start us!).

fecking hell, cant be true? Wtf is he doing in Qatar, i thought he wanted to retire in a dignified way, not in a shitty league

Below my post in March before the game against Chelsea.

I think he wants to join the EPL.

He was available for a press conference in London this weekend. Generally, he hates that.

It is no accident as he is in campaign for a new challenge I guess.

He has rejected huge offers from China (35m per year) so I can't believe he will join Qatar
