Zlatan is speaking the truth here.

Rumors of United or MLS. I'd take him in United for a few years first. He's the same age as Sherringham were now?

Nope Teddy was 31 when he joined us Zlatan's nearly 35.

Yes, love him, and exactly what we need right now. He can be the target man, Martial/(new right winger)/Memphis/Rashford/Shaw/Valencia e.t.c. can be running off him.

Does no one else find the whole Ibrahimovich cult thing amongst grown men a bit weird? FootballBible/Ladbible dynamite

I must admit i do find it a bit strange myself. If he played for a team you support/ed fair enough i suppose.

But United fans having a man crush on Ibrahimovic is odd.

I've voted no because I think he's disruptive and because starting your career in the Premier League at 35 years of age seems ridiculous. I'm now beginning to doubt myself because on the other nights showing, maybe some disruption is what we need. The man is a winner.

No brainer really won't have to pay a fee and if he turns out rubbish he'll be gone within 2 years.

I guess he will end up at Galaxy. Dont think he wants to go on at a high level, he is already old for a striker. It reads like he retired more or less.

The one thing I like about signing Ibrahimovic is that it will help Rashford and Martial, like Beckham he is a great professional and a great example for young players.

Yes he is old for a striker, but he's a bit of a one-off... just freakishly fit for his age, he seems to carry on getting better.

I say grab him, the experience for our youngsters would be worth it alone. Plus as a bonus, no fee too

Classic Woodward signing. Big name, won't produce the goods. Will keep fans off his back for 1 second.

They way it reads is as if he is retiring,...you are right.
But with regards to age: he is the top goal scorer in France right now (and yes, that includes the highly rated Lacazette).
I'm in 2 minds about him. The negative is his age. The positive is the entertainment factor, the goals, the arrogance, the great interviews.

Didnt mean he is your typical old striker, but i just have a feeling he doesnt fancy playing another year or two at the top level. Maybe i am wrong, i hope we would land him. Not just for his on the field presence and brilliance, but also for his character.

Yeah that's the unknown i guess, whether he's up for the challenge... he could come here and be a legend again after two years, or he could tarnish his reputation with people thinking he wasn't good enough for the prem. We'll see!

Biggest positive for me. I'd rather have the likes of Memphis, Januzaj, Pereira, Martial, Wilson, Rashfor learn from Zlatan than Rooney. These are players that when confident have the eye for flair and Zlatan epitomizes flair and confidence. People also have this idea that Zlatan is hated, which is right but only against the opposition team but comments from his team mates and especially the younger players are very positive. They all say that he is willing and ready to show them the ropes. Despite the gulf in class between himself and his Swedish team mates, you can see how comfortable they are around him.

One of our biggest problems is one that Moyes left us with. We let go of Evra, Rio, Giggs and Vidic in a very short time. This is experience that money can't buy. One can only imagine if Jones and Smalling gad Vidic and Rio around the club, Shaw and Evra. All that leadership potential tossed out of the window and we wonder why the bulk of our team lack the bottle and spine to compete.

I think he'll join you guys. Though no CL football could change his mind.

I can see it happening and I see this report as yet another hint about Van Gaal's departure. I can't see Van Gaal going for Ibrahimovic and I also can't see Ibrahimovic agreeing to play for Van Gaal. They just don't like each other.

He would be a good short-term option. Young players can learn from him and we need a player like him, not just skill wise, but his mindset.

He would be a fantastic signing. Especially for a club that has missed out on the CL 2 years out of 3 and unlikely to be attractive to the likes of Griezmann etc

I'd love it. Dont even care about the footballing aspect.
Ibra at United... sure.. why not?

That'd be a shirt I'd definitely be getting.... The last one was Berbatov

In the EPL, Zlatan would make everyone

No way. His time in a shitty league playing for a team miles better than the rest seems to have duped people. And I really want us to avoid signing any players with weird cult followings.

We need to get rid of older players not sign more of them.

I voted no, I'd much rather see Rashford up front next season

Players coming from the shitty league are successful with Leicester or West Ham...

You want a lot of presure to be put on a 18-year-old player...

Yes yes yes!

We need some character and courage in our team. He's the sort of player that will lift his team mates by 20%
