If he's out of contract he'd be free right?

Why on earth would anyone NOT want him, he's still a fantastic player and he'd do a great job for us especially under mourinho.

He'd want a signing fee and big wages so not really free.

Of course you will bake that into the the equation. This is the way football works. If you'd have to buy a forward of this quality (ignore the age now) you'd probably have to reach up to 50-60m euro. So there's a lot of room for wages when the transfer fee is out of the way.

It's a market out there and it all comes down to what we can offer. If we're in the CL and Mourinho is here I'd say there's a quite big chance he might join us.

China - No way, his brand would be totally demolished.

USA - That would be like going to bed before 6 in the evening. There's absolutely no challenge there for him. Only reason could be to build himself a name, pure commercial reasons so to say.

PSG - Is an alternative but quite a boring one. I think he's done and wants to move on.

Italy - This would be the biggest disappointment. He's already done this before and only have things to lose by going there.

Then there are a couple of english clubs he might consider. City, Chelsea and Arsenal. I think it would be a step down from where he is today in terms of winning the CL. If he wants to play in england he should obviously play for Man United or nothing at all.

Sorry Alock1 for this overdone post. I just couldn't stop myself.

Yeah I wasn't making a consideration as to his worth just explaining that he would he far from free. Some people do see these as complete non-risks which isn't true.

If we cant figure out the #10 position and if we don't send out Rashford on loan next season then is getting Ibra overkill in terms of the options we will have up front next season?

Rashford can play RW if i recall, and split some time with Lingard. If Rooney is still with us, he can play 10 and martial can go between ST and LW, because at his age, Ibra surely wouldnt play every match.

If we get Jose, I dont think there's any doubt we'll be in for him. They are the perfect pair. Both love each other, which for those two is pretty remarkable. Mourinho will want players who he can trust at his next club, after the Chelsea debacle this season.

So how come we aren't a step down when there's a good chance we won't even get into the Champions League, maybe Europa too.

Why waste Rashford on the RW? If he is a striker, keep up as a striker and play him up top. Stop fecking around with players and their positions. If we cant give him the playing time then send him on loan so he can play as a striker. The #10 position is much trickier. We have Mata and Rooney. Are we going to sell one of the two? Are we going to buy another proper #10 like James?

I'm not against buying a proper RW and sending Rashford out on loan or anything, i was just answering how we could hypothetically line up if we were to sign Ibra.
If Mou is our manager, you can bet that Mata will be sold, and he will go for someone like James.

Sell Rooney, sack Louie, hire Mourinho, sign Zlatan, play 4-3-3, win the league.

I'm not saying I'm against any of it.. just sack a shit manager of the year. Replace with a shit manager of the year. Sell an old striker and replace with an old striker who has to hit the ground running to make an impact at all.

It just sounds funny that's all.

Maybe he won't even come unless it's possible to play for us. I've never heard him say a word about any other club in England in any interview. He's not interested to come to a club like Arsenal because they have this good boy discipline in the club that he hates. He wants to be in a team where the individual counts the most and there's a strong hierarchy. He wants to be like Maradona, Del Piero, Cantona. I also believe SAF and him would never have worked together. Mourinho on the other hand seem to be the perfect fit. So unless we reach CL he will probably go to italy or stay with PSG. But who knows, he might even jump on our train just to win the league, but I think it's not that likely.

To people who are opposed to the idea of signing Ibrahimovic, why would you turn down Zlatan when he would probably be the best player in the league here?

Just sack LVG, that's enough.

Nobody in their right mind would turn him down for free. Feck his wages, ship Rooney off when needed.

Woody loves a galactico, it'll happen. Ibra and Mou in the summer.

Feck me... pleaseeeee!

Never been as much of a fan of his as most people and I'm not sure he'd show his best form here. Still he'd almost certainly make us a much improved team and we're in absolutely no position to turn down signing a player of his calibre.

His Chelsea debacle wasnt all the players. Jose was as much to blame

He wouldn't be the best though. He isn't better than Aguero for one IMO. I'd pick Aguero every day on form

Debatable for me. I think you could make the argument Zlatan is the best striker in the world not named Suarez. On form, Zlatan is still as good as Lewandowski and Aguero. It's amazing how clinical he is even at the of 34. I do wonder if he would be as good in the EPL, I'm intrigued to see how he would cope with the pace and physicality of the league.

Sweden striker Ibrahimovic, talking ahead if a friendly with Czech Republic, said: "Yes, there is interest from the Premier League, I can confirm that.

"The Premier League is the league in the world all people and fans speak about.

"A lot of things have to feel fine when I'm going to take a decision this summer."

He wouldn't join City with Pep that's for sure. Other than that... Can see us and Arsenal being interested.

Would be great to have a player like him to bring a bit of prestige back to the team.

Mourinho, Ibra and five others please. At least.

He'd be a good signing as long as Rooney goes, I dread the thought of them in the same team.

Seems most want him to come, get his high wages and sign on fee. I can already see comments in this time next year.

It's got to be us, i can't see any other PL club being a good fit.

Except there isn't much evidence to back that up on other than Aguero playing in a stronger league. But Ibra has had much better numbers over the past few seasons, and on the international level, Ibra has been a much better player despite Aguero playing in a side stacked with talent.

His age worries me.

Me too, I wonder why we didn't go for him before he moved to PSG? Easy to say in hindsight I guess.

With Zlatan though I get the feeling that he could play for another 2-3 years easily, he just seems like a complete athlete who relies mostly on his technical ability rather than pace.
