I'd rather we'd have signed Zlatan but at least there can be nobody moaning that he's too old.

Playing Rooney and Zlatan in same team is a recipe for disaster. One will need to be benched by end of the season.

In all probability Sweden will be out of the tournament this week. Hard to see them get past the groups even if they win the next game which will be just as hard considering Belgium are in form.

Why will they be out ? Only 8 teams out of 24 are eliminated after the group stages. Sweden can get 3rd place as well if the two out of Portugal,Czech and Romania lose their games and Sweden manage a draw. It's not a great scenario, but Romania and Czech are looking worse than Sweden at the moment.

Edit: Ok, looked at the fixtures. It's much more complicated than that. Lots of permutations still possible.

I really don't see any negatives with this signing, if he turns out good then good for us, if he does a Falcao we bin him next May, his wages are high but then I believe he'll sell a lot of shirts and be a plus to the United brand, Adidas will certainly be down with this, as will Woody. People worrying about his age and if he can 'cut it' in the PL just need to moan about something. He's just coming of his best season at 34 years of age, Rooney's best season was like 4-5 years ago and is only 31, some people go to shit earlier than others, that's football

Let's just pray that if it bombs then Mourinho has the balls to do the necessary thing and do it soon enough before another season is wasted.

According to his agent, the Swedish striker has not decided where he would play next season.

Sounded next season at Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not taken its decision according to his agent Mino Raiola . The latter recognized micro Téléfoot that MU was " a great team with a great coach ."

"I 've made my decision , he has not taken . They are really busy with the Euro. Out of respect for the euro, the country , the coach , he should concentrate on that, " he added , suggesting qu'Ibra make his decision after the tournament ended for Sweden.

Not sure about the interpretation/translation of the quotes ...

Looking at just the quotes I'm guessing you interpreted it as "I've made my decision (agreed fees with United) now Zlatan just has to agree his terms (and the deal will complete)".

Both of them have something to give as squad players and I think they can be occasional starters. I just don't think both of them together as 9 or 10 for the whole season will lead us to a top 7 finish let alone the title.

I have a feeling that Ibra is going to have some serious issues when dealing with the media here. He was totally adored in France but I just can't see his personality winning over too many journalists in the UK. Add to this the fact that he'll be at Utd - whats-more Mourinho's Utd - they'll be licking their lips at this going tits up. Unless he hits the ground running, I can see this being a feature of his time with us.
