I have a feeling that Ibra is going to have some serious issues when dealing with the media here. He was totally adored in France but I just can't see his personality winning over too many journalists in the UK. Add to this the fact that he'll be at Utd - whats-more Mourinho's Utd - they'll be licking their lips at this going tits up. Unless he hits the ground running, I can see this being a feature of his time with us.

He has been able to keep up with his antics because he continously backs it up on the pitch, lets hope that continues.

This is where Mou comes in. He is good at diverting attention from his team to himself when his players aren't performing. But I really don't think Zlatan is gong to struggle. He has proven himself everywhere he has gone and is a proven winner. IF he is struggling rest him for a couple of games and start him against really weak opposition, he is bound to score and get his confidence back.

I can't stand Alan Green (commentator for BBC radio 5 live) due mainy to his inflated self importance and his need to constantly inform us of his personal bias. He has said he really doesn't like Zlatan and, I am sure, will use every opportunity to paint him in an unfavourable light during commentary. So people listening to the radio commentary at work or in their car/van/truck will have one idea of Zlatan's performance (Alan Green's) while those at the game or watching on TV will have another.

The media are sycophants and vultures in equal measure. He'll be adored if he does well, and the claws will be out if he flops. Always the way.

Only Zlatan would consider personal revenge as a factor when making a decision about his future. Seems fitting really. Jose must have said the right things to him.

Pretty sure our manager would too...

What a arse of an agent, if true. Who says stuff like that without making a fool of themselves?
Quite frankly, I'm getting tired of Zlatan and his entourage and their off the pitch activities already.

It looks like his agent is a little bit more intelligent then you suggest. Love, hate and revenge are by far the most effective ways to motivate people without including financial benefits. Those feelings can move mountains.

I'm quite sure that many young talanted footballers regards Rino Raiola as a players agent. They look at Ibra and see a very succefull carrer and all the way the guy has earn top dollars. That counts if you're a young talents on your way up. They also look at Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mhkitaryan and see that they have a agents working his socks off for their benefits. Raiola knows the tricks and knows how to use them. You should read Zlatan Ibrahimovic's self biography and his thoughts about his agent. If you believe him he and his family absolutely love and adore his agent and trust him 100%. You don't get that vote of confidence by being selfish and a clown.

In the beginning I though that Raiola was a prick of highest order. I have changed my mind. They guy is a genius and regardless of his activities it looks like he back it up with satisfied clients.

Agents act for the player's best interests trying to get the most out of every situation doing the player's dirty work. I don't think we are meant to like them, we just have to hope that the club tries to use the relationships with them to our advantage wherever possible and accept we will have to bend over occasionally.

Not sure well see too many of his clients going to City as there was a bit more he said about Pep from Marca :-

"I think he wants revenge on Guardiola, although he does not live for it because you shouldn't have two graves - one for him and one for the enemy.

You learn more from defeats than you do from victories, and Zlatan learned a lot from what happened with Guardiola.

As a person, I don't like him either. Zlatan admits he is a great coach and I can think it but refuse to admit it."

Zlatan just confirmed he's quitting the NT after the Euros and that he won't play at the Olympics.

Zlatan in Sportbladet:

The last game for Sweden in the European Championships will be my last match for Sweden. I hope it will not be tomorrow. I will not participate in the Olympics, we hope to go as far as possible here. But I will not be quitting disappointed. I'm very proud to be captain of Sweden. I want to thank all the supporters who helped me to achieve what I have done. Wherever I go, I will always take with me the Swedish flag and be proud of it. So I will never be disappointed. So thanks to all.

Very good news and the smart thing to do at that age.

It is, and he had probably made a decision before the Euros started, so again a nice sign of being a team player by not milking all the attention out of it by announcing it earlier.

Absolutely - I'm sure it'll barely be mentioned in Sweden's game tomorrow. :nervous:

As mentioned above, I think it’s fair towards the fans to let them know. What we would’ve given for knowing that Rio & Evra were quitting.. :(

Let's hope Belgium tonk Sweden tommorow then.

Ibra confirmed/unveiled as a United player by the weekend

Wasn't the story that his loyalty bonus thing expires on the 30th June so he wouldn't be unveiled until 1st July at the earliest?

Harry Kane and Ronaldo were poor as well. Both playing in far superior teams

Ronaldo has scored 58 goals in 128 apperences in the national team, Zlatan has done 62 in 115 apperences. Portugal has always had a much better squad than Sweden and still Z has score more.

Ronaldo played quite a few of those national games before he developed into a scorer, mind.
