No it's not even that. He is just poor right now. Missing sitters has nothing to do with one dimensional play.

If you look at his shots per goal ratio he scores every five shots which is the worst in the PL. That ratio was exactly the same last season for PSG. We don't create enough chances for a player that needs so many to score. His all round play adds nothing to the side either IMO.

Should be subbed at half time, he has been awful and with players like Martial and Mata on the bench there is no room for performances like this.

Replaced one Rooney with another on the basis of this performance. He needs to be utilised sparingly away from home. If we are facing quality teams we need as many players with legs as possible, we can't afford passengers.

On the basis of this performance, who the hell looks good enough for our team?

Well I said it before we need 7 new players for the first team. When I see us play like this, it still very much holds true. We have gaping holes in the first team.

Ibra needs to play closer to the box. This midfield behind him with non wingers playing as wingers clearly doesn't work. Need players liki. Mikhi and mata around him or even rashford

Offers feck all except for goals and even for that looks like he needs 4/5 chances a game.... When was the last goal he scored?...the one against Zorya??

Most people in here used to slate Berbatov, but feck me, his hold-up play was so much better than Ibra's. Playing him up front is affecting us cause he's so sloppy in possession as well as he's not a threat in behind.

He's not doing anywhere near enough for the team when he's not scoring. His hold-up play is poor and defensively he offers nothing. Should be benched on this form.

All of you guys shitting on Ibra, if you honestly think he is the problem then you know nothing about football. Absolutely nothing.

Our whole fecking team are shite right now, you expect one guy to do it all? There are fundamental problems in the team, stats doesn't lie, and if you look at what Ibra has accomplished I am really not worried about him but rather worried about the team as a whole.

He can feck off and join Rooney on the bench. He isn't contributing nearly enough at the moment.

People have said this for the best part of three years now, we've signed multiple players during that time. Maybe it's not the players, some of them have been good elsewhere but turn to shit as soon as they play for us. Maybe it's something else, like the three failing managers we've had since Fergie?

so are people gonna pretend its ibrahimovic's fault? he's hardly got any service today, some terrible passes going his way that he's somehow expected to turn into wine. the team has been absolutely shocking today

Kinda hoping Martial starts up front against City with Ibra on the bench. Get a front 3 of Martial, Rashford, Mkhitaryan and Mata in midfield next to Pogba and Herrera/Carrick. Ibra's been shite the past month and missing sitters
I think I agree with you on this depending on Mkhi's fitness. Though, if Rashford plays he should be the striker as he's just not good enough on the wings.

He's useless... Give him 100 chances a game in France and yes he scores a couple. But over here he's pretty much a waste of space. 2 chances this game. Missed a sitter vs Stoke and Liverpool too.

Set up to play counter away from home...fine as long as you have players who can break with pace.

Ibra can do many things but he can't run in behind & can't take people on.

Signings which simply haven't been of the right quality or fit. No point spending countless money if there is no foundations behind the signing, i.e. do they fit in with a particular playing style, are they technical enough, physical enough, mentally tough enough.. so many shit signings we have made on this basis.

Bailly, Herrera.. for me are United quality signings but just find themselves in a bad team.. but Zlatan is not a United signing that we would make when we were operating at our best under Fergie.

RB, CB, possible lack of LB if Shaw doesn't crack on, Lack of specialist DM, Lack of specialist wingers full stop, lack of striker at his peak. Huge huge holes in this side in terms of first team quality.

Today people can speak about Mourinho, but for me today we were purely let down by the quality of the players and their mentality. No manager would have magically transformed that result into a win after the start we made. It just killed off the entire game.

To make him effective and more dangerous we need a nr.10 that runs behind him. I thought we recognized that in signing Mikhi but he's hardly had a sniff, and that as a winger.

Whose fault is that then? I agree with your general point and it's more down to the system, but Mourinhos players have looked equally subpar as the others, bar Bailly.

Why cant he be subbed when he is not offering anything. We replaced the Rooney situation with a worse rooney situation?

He needs a goal, it happens sometimes but the pressure is much more when nobody else in the team can create and score.

You tell me. Combination of poor scouting, bad management (Moyes and LVG had a strong say in signings, as has Jose for that matter)... bottom line is instead of pointing fingers, mistakes need to be admitted and we need to sell, move on and start with a clean slate and start making proper signings again. I am sick of just splashing money on big names instead of thinking of unheralded players who could come in and make a proper contribution from the off in key areas.

Zlatan was a big name, but what we needed was a striker at his peak.. not a has been. Silly signings like this, it just seems so lazy and not well thought out.

Agree, but we seriously need a good DoF because there is no guarantee that the manager succeeds, as evident by our last three coaches. Right now a new manager comes in, signs his players, we fail and the manager leaves with the players still here. Then a new manager comes and rinse and repeat. We need a complete overhaul and not give our managers as much power as we do now.

When you add up Imbrahimovic's, Rooney's, and Schweinsteigers wages and think about what we're actually getting from them, it's pretty fecking grim how much money we've wasted and how poor we still are.

We've got the power and physicality but no guile, no craft in last third. Hazard, Coutinho, Mane, Erikssen, Silva that sort of player..

First Schweinsteiger, now Zlatan. Do we never learn from our mistakes ? Huge error by Mourinho.

Absolutely crazy to build a team around a player who, best case scenario, performs for one season, then you need a complete rethink.

At the start of the season he scored two goals against Southampton and I had 23 posters tagging me in quotes laughing at me for saying we shouldn't sign him...

I'm close to naming and shaming. It's not that bad yet, but he's offering nothing.

I love Zlatan, but his free ride is over.
There's no room for sentiment or places in the XI due to how good you once were. Zlatan is still a mile better than Rooney, but he doesn't offer enough when the chips are down.
Should sit the next game or two out, get Rashford right upfront with Martial in behind.

I wonder what he has to do to get dropped? All he seems to do is commit stupid fouls at the moment. A player of his age and of his lack of pace should be starting on the bench and brought on in the late stages of the game, no way should he be a starter.

I don't want him here THIS season.

Has morphed into absolute dogshit since the City game.

Don't know why you are so smug, you said he wouldn't score 7 goals all season.

Can we finally stop drooling like 10 year olds kids about Zlatan? It went to cringe levels. All this "dare to Zlatan" crap. Not that he isn't good enough, he is still a great footballer IMO, but he's just a footballer. Stop this God-status.
