These pointless flicks are really pissing off. All it ever does is give the opposition a free kick for a high foot.

How many times does he have to give away fouls by a raised foot before he realises it's against the rules?

Someone should tell the big-nosed twat that he's built like a tank and can jump for a header.

I was gonna post this. What the feck was he thinking? Why doesn't he go for headers?

He completely carries this team.

If Zlatan isn't firing or playing well, we don't. We rely far too heavily on him.

He wasn't the problem, his link up play was good as usual, where as his flick to Pogba should have been a goal.

With that said, you should expect a player of his calibre to covert chances like the one he misshit in the end and he needs to stop with his high kicks.
Considering the 'service' tonight I thought he did about as well as you could expect.

Laughable some of the opinions on him tonight.

Yeah. A much better second half from him.

Can't blame for tonight : he had literally no service from mhki, Rashford or Pogba.

He led the line and did what he could. Was let down

The Fellaini of our strikers. All his does is foul people and be offside.

Drop him.

Nah, he's undroppable. It boggles the mind. It was clear as day he was a yard behind the pace tonight, but Mourinho keeps him on for some strange reason. Every fecking game, no matter if he's been good or bad, he will always complete 90 minutes. Meanwhile, you have a Martial fresh from two assists and a wrongly disallowed goal champing at the bit to get some minutes but he puts Rooney on.

Unbelievable.

I thought he played alright, but why does he always try to volley balls that are not there to be volleyed? Put a head on it, or bring it down on the chest, instead of trying to roundhouse kick everything!

His link up play was dogshit bar one flick in the first half. His passes were constantly going astray.

He seems to foul and does the high kicking shit just to give the other team more time to waste.

He is not the only one though but he is certainly one of those who does stupid and weird fouls when the team needs a goal and the time is running fast.

Just weird.

Isolated when we're playing a number 9 on the wing. Mata/Martial should be alongside him. They would create the most and link up better.

Rashford is NOT under any stretch of the imagination, a winger.

Complaining about Zlatan is just silly at this stage, seeing as he's on about 20 goals already. He can't score all our goals. Pogba, Micky, Martial, Rashford, Mata and Rooney all need to do much better than this!

I mean when you're 195 cm tall and of strong physique, selling yourself as a tough guy throughout your entire career you might consider actually going in for a header instead of them pointless scissor kicks that always end up in giving away a free kick.

It didn't help that Rojo started punting the ball even with 7 minutes to play.

His individual stats are excellent but I still doubt that he makes the team better. I don't think that we'd be worse off without him. Now we are 6th, Rashford plays on the wing and Martial doesn't play at all. What's the point?

We've gone back to just hoofing the ball up to him again as if he's Crouch. Horribly usage, but Ibra has been poor lately.

Still, he's pretty much OUR entire attack in the Premier League. He needs support.

My only problem with Zlatan is that I wish he'd head the ball half the time instead of conceding free kicks for his Kung fu shit!

Yes.

Martial and Rashford are special!

He's scored a number of goals but he should have scored double that. He's unbelievably wasteful and truly offers nothing else. Drop him.

He's been wasteful but all players squander chances. His goals return has been good and I don't think we have anyone else who'd come close to matching it right now.

I can sort of get keeping him on because he might do something, not a fan of it but I can understand it. But surely we have to adapt tactics to make it work? If he's going to drop off or basically be allowed to do what he wants than we need other players who are getting beyond him as often as they can. There was either a massive space between him and the defence or he was basically in midfield. Makes it pretty easy for a team who are happy to sit back in numbers. It's not like this is a one off either, it's happened in a fair few games.

The silly high boots etc though, that's just annoying and really Mou should be giving him an earful but unfortunately we've left ourselves in the position of being very reliant on him.

He is far from great lately, but I won't criticise him. It's time for our other player to step up, and they aren't doing it. Pogba, Mkhi are all playing even worse and excuses are being made all the time for their performances. Especially Mkhi, who's become redcafe darling after literally few good games. For some reason he escapes any criticism despite being average for a month now.

I honestly feel our hoof ball will work better with Fellaini or fecking Crouch, when the ball is in the air I have no hope of Ibra winning it except maybe trying to kung fu someone's head off

That's where you're wrong - we structure our tactics so that he's the focal point. This means that when he's ambling around, missing chances, permanently offside and giving away fouls by lazily fly kicking a defenders head; we as a team are somewhat screwed.

These tactics may work for the 50% of the time when he's scoring at a rate you'd expect for a team is funneling the majority of chances through one player. However the other 50% of the time you consistently drop points because everything breaks down offensively because of him.

Lets put it plainly: he's not doing enough and he's not doing it often enough. He looks like exactly what he is: a player that hasn't had to work hard and battle for results in the best part of a decade.

I've counted him out before. Said he was declining but he always proven me wrong. But this was just awful. People who think he was decent don't know how good he is supposed to be. I don't even think he himself think he's been decent the last few games. Just awful. I hope he's not having a fast decline this time and that he'll bounce back but if he continues this way it's better to give martial and rashford more minutes in that position. At the same time if I was Mourinho I'd continue give him 90 minutes because he's Zlatan and you never know. He could come back and be the best player in the league and it wouldn't surprise me all. But doesn't look like it.

Mkhitaryan is the new Kagawa. Martial is the new Welbeck. Neither can do any wrong on here.

The excuses for him are sounding eerily similar to Rooney's 2 seasons ago, when half the world was still adamant he was still great because if he played long enough he'll get a goal or assist. I'm not saying he's got to that level yet, but we need something better than what he's providing right now. It's not even his fault, he's 36 years old and is not suppose to be the leading the line week in week out for a top team, much less United

Hull play 3 tall men at the back and two defensive mids. Very little space for him and up against possibly the physically strongest player in the league in Maguire. That lad is quite good. Is better than the players that start for City and Liverpool. Can see someone defensively shrewd like Pocchettino or Koeman snap him up.

Agreed 100%.

I also think he'd be a great option off the bench. Mourinho's insistence on starting him every single fecking game is infuriating at times. It's like he won't even consider an alternative striking option.

I'm sure we could've played with two up front today as well. The 4-2-3-1 puts far too much emphasis on Ibra as our lone attacking frontman.

Well punting the ball is jose's plan B though. It is why he has all the tall players in all his teams.

Which is not a bad tactic of course. We just can't criticize players who go with the plan.

It is just that in one of those situations, he ran in to bodycheck the keeper from like 10 yards out when it was sure that the keeper was going to catch the ball anyway. The keeper could have made a meal of it and wasted more time. I mean what is the point?

Something is wrong if he's still first choice next season. The fact that he's a guaranteed 90 mins player makes it even more frustrating.
