WWC23 | England v Spain - Spain win the World Cup - and Rubiales gets sacked

In this day and age where you have video tech and cameras broadcasting to millions around the world, that's a really thick as shit move to make. Really, really stupid.

Jesus, I'm such a curse. I don't understand why people do things like this, especially with VAR. How can you think you'll get away with it.

England's number 7 gets tossed for a moment for total petulance in a round of 16 match in a World Cup. Where have we seen that before?

So stupid, why do that in the age of VAR?

She'd been frustrated all game, such a petulant reaction.

That’s shocking honestly. Imagine thinking you can get away with that.

James…. probably the thickest footballer on the planet

"Its a learning curve for her"

What a total b.s. excuse. She's 21 years old, she's not 12. She shouldn't have to get sent off in a world cup to "learn" that stamping on an opponent isn't OK.

If I had been her teammate I would tell her to F.... and never come back. What a stupid idiot

I don't think it's that deliberate or conscious a thing. Red mist.

How stupid from James.

England have been shown to be quite an average team, they will do well to scrape through on pens here.

Weirdly enough, players have been getting away with kicking out at opponents in the Premier League in recent years. It’s usually just a booking.

It’s good to see reds given for that again.

Beckham was 23 and was basically hated by an entire country for doing something a lot less than this......

That's not even how you do a proper stamp, you apply extra pressure in the course of a natural movement, not obviously put your leg where it shouldn't be and then stamp

Should England crash out at the end of this, I can only imagine the unprecedented level of vitriol that will get dished at her from all angles, especially in this age of social media.:annoyed:

Great opportunity now for Nigeria to do something historic and special but also a dangerous situation because the fight will raise the energy levels in the remaining 10 England players.

I'm never a fan of that as a reason either, not being able to control yourself because you're angry or frustrated is fundamental character flaw.
