I mean for the most part it is quite damning for our fanbase. For 26 years, this fanbase got to witness what a supremely talented manager/coach can do at a club of our calibre. The conclusion half of our fanbase managed to reach at the end of that 26 years was that if you give any random bloke enough time, he'll becomes the next Alex Ferguson.

I wonder what Fergie genuinely thinks of it. Must be like Mozart putting on his greatest show, and then only finding out at the end that his audience was actually deaf.
Fantastic stuff. I am gonna pass it off as mine among my friends.

I imagine this thread as a dark room with just me in it. Ole in. Ole in. Ole in.

I have not been able to see the match. Did we start pressing them in their own half from the kick off before we conceded?

Every game. Every single game.
Exactly that is truly worrying. We look like Liverpool pre VVD and Allison every corner and freekick is a 50% chance of us conceding a goal. Ole needs to be removed from his duties. If we lose v City I think it might be it for him.

Some Ole inners remind me of those holier than thou Christians. They think they are the only ones that knows what it means to be a true Christian and are on the right path and their faith will soon be rewarded
I think that’s me. I don’t know why, I just feel... Righteous!

The sense of entitlement among a significant proportion of our fans is incredible. I can only imagine that football just makes them angry and sad.

Despite the recurring blips in form, defensive calamities, and rotten results, I have had far more fun watching Ole’s Utd than any since SAF (and some periods during SAF’s time as well).

It’s disappointing not to get out of the group but even SAF failed to get out of the group three times. We won it twice of course but we lost a fair few games to teams worse than PSG and Leipzig. This manager and these players can improve and can build challenges like we did under SAF. Some can’t be bothered to wait but I can.
I agree with you here that we have been far more enjoyable to watch, we are inconsistent but when we are on, we are a joy to watch. I do think Ole might not be the guy that takes us to the next level and honestly I’m not actually sure who is. I don’t want change for the sake of change, I want it to be well thought out to give us the best chance of getting this right should Ole go.

What were the reasons why we stopped playing a high pressing game last year?
Ole seemed intent on United initially playing that particular way.

Or we need to buy VVD and Allison?

I don't recall us sustaining a high press ever. It was always a half baked press. Ole said he wants to implement a full press after he was in charge but I never saw it. There was added energy for a bit when Bruno came and our player's look like they were pumped up from it, but that's it. I don't think we actually implement any form of press against teams.

I’ve been on board with letting Ole see out the season, but we’re in serious trouble, mates.

If Allegri wants the job and gets assurances from the board, let’s pull the trigger right after the match v City.

This is my post. Don't know where you think I said he is good enough. So you are saying board will listen to Ole inners but not to Ole outers. What a weird logic of defending the board.

No I’m saying they will continue to believe what they want to providing there is enough support from the fans not to change.

If the fan base was 90/10 Ole out he would be sacked. Arsenal literally did that with Emery.

We cannot play a high pressing game with Maguire, Matic, Mata and Pogba in the side. Furthermore, high pressing is very tactic. The players need to know when to press and when to drop back. It needs a good coach to implement it successfully. Otherwise everyone is pressing willy nilly as we kept doing.

As for the corners I am gobsmacked too. I mean these are supposed to be coaches with UEFA badges and played for the biggest club in the World. Yet they are as blind as a bat in not seeing how pathetic our defence is. They have known that DeGea is not going to come out and collect corners. So why on earth are they still defending zonally and not putting any players on the posts? As a keeper DeGea would be more confident of coming out to collect corners or at least punch them if he knows there are players covering his back.
Like lawyers getting debarred there must be a mechanism for UEFA to suspend the coaching licence of people who are incompetent to be coaches.

I'm confident we'll look back on this season as such a massive waste.

With the PL being much more open than in previous years, we really should have been more proactive in replacing Ole with someone who can achieve something this season.

Our starting 11 and overall depth has shown itself to be quite strong in comparison to most competition. If we had a clue about anything, we would have gotten a manager who can make use of what we have and win at least one of the big prizes this season. Instead we kept on deluding ourselves with time and rebuilds, and let this chance slip by.

No doubt things will return to normal in the subsequent seasons with 90+ point teams, and it will be much harder to achieve what we want. In the end, passively sticking with Ole has cost us.

Ole season hasn't completely collapsed because of the incredible luck he has. If it has, the decision will be easier to sack for the simpleminded members of our board. This season, There are multiple victories we had that was undeserved.

A lot of fans on here just look at the results and make a simplistic conclusion. I see our performance and I know that there is something wrong with how our team plays football. This insight has revealed to me for awhile that Ole needs to get sacked because our football has not seen the improvement of a top team. We have the luck of a God on our side, that is my only explanation to why we are near the top of the table in the premier league. Even with Bruno amazing output, we shouldn't be in the position we are in the league
Was it revealed during the flaming c*** incident on the caf?

And it looks like Jose was right all along with Martial and Pogba. But Woodward the "football genius" failed to listen.
I ws just going to say that. Wasnt it one of the Glazers who wouldnt let Martial be sold because he was always smiling and brightened the place up

Forget Bruno then, just look at the last consecutive 24 league games since the end of the January transfer window. The form over 0.63 of a season. United are top of that table. Keep it going and we probably win the league. Cheer up if you can.
Lets see where we are at the 38th game thats the only stat that matters

Didn't know it was one KO. I think the games will be two legged. Some qualifying matches were two legged so not sure where you are getting the one KO thing.

Get a grip.

We play almost the exact same way as we did under Mou but score less goals, concede more and have become almost wholly reliant on set pieces. How can that statement be true un less you are neutral and just love the unpredictability?

I read it was going to be one legged a while back. Maybe it was reverted?

Because Ole says nice things on press conf. And smiles a lot. Because....that is what is important. Goals, titles, style of play....irrelevant

Probably because no one knows what the feck we're going to get with Ole in charge. It's like a football version of "deal" or "no deal".

I have never known a time that there is so much toxic and vitriol towards our OWN MANAGER in my whole entire life supporting man utd.

Now we're UPSET because you can't see pundits (who you usually criticise for knowing feck all apparently) for not criticising Ole.

Dear lord this place has become a cesspool.
Sad, isn't it. That is when hate and darkness take over the place.

I was here yesterday and people went absolutly mad. Panic everywhere. Hatered towards us that still think Solskjaer should be given time were on a big scale. Hatred towards Solskjaer and staff were even worse. It was raining insults. But it is okey. You just let this storm pass by. People are to emotional and offended by everything this days.

I still think that Solskjaer shoud be given time and we are taking steps forward. So you are not alone.

I dont think he will get sacked. He should but the board dont care about the football really as long as they can bleed the club

What's interesting is that % of votes IN/OUT doesn't change. Ole is clearly not the one to take us to another level. Just not happening. And people still feel that he needs more time. Why? How long? Another year? Two? Do we seriously believe that in 12 months we will be first in the league? In 30 moths we will be in semi final of CL? He is clueless at this level.

Sad thing is, when Ole first arrived two years ago, he was all about “the United way and players being free to express themselves”.

Now he’s at the point where he starts 7 defensive players to try to keep his job.

This nonsense, we were second few months before he took over. Spending 300m to repair a team that were second few months ago.

man we replaced lukaku with ighalo, Pogba half out the door and didn’t get him a right winger. Why aren’t people getting this? The summer was a disaster as far as the start of this season is concerned. The board dropped the ball so much that we are waiting for an 18 year old to come in and make the RW his own. Most the major problems at the club predate ole and if we fire him they will continue as they were under every other manager. Ole is the best manager out there with connections to when we were last successful. I would rather take my time with him and hope he gets top 4 this season. What’s stopping us hiring the wrong manager again? Another 3 years down the drain... Ole is working with one hand tied behind his back (for a club of our size and ambitions) and he’s doing ok.

Both PSG and RB got the full 6 points from the Turkish team. We are the only one who gave them not one but 3 freaking points.

Disgusting.

I have no problems in starting with 7 defensive players if he knew how to defend and got his tactics right. He made an absolute balls of it. Rule no 1. You do not start with Greenwood if you need to defend. Rule no 2. You defend tight and keep it tight in a game we need to draw and they need to win. Rule no 3. You do not press high up the pitch and leave space open when you need to defend.

My only real concern with Allegri is that he will definitely sort out our defence but not play progressive enough stuff when attacking
