I'm confident we'll look back on this season as such a massive waste.
With the CL being only one knockout round and the PL being much more open than in previous years, we really should have been more proactive in replacing Ole with someone who can achieve something this season.
Our starting 11 and bench has shown itself to be quite strong in comparison to most competition, if we had a clue about anything we would have gotten a manager who can make use of what we have and win at least one of the big prizes this season. Instead we kept on deluding ourselves with time and rebuilds, and let this chance slip by.
No doubt things will return to normal in the subsequent seasons with 90+ point teams and normal CL knockout rounds, and it will be much harder to achieve what we want. In the end, passively sticking with Ole has cost us.
