If we do any business at all, I think we'll overpay for Willian and actually sign Bonnuci.
Of course we'll do business. Mourinho is always banging on about the need to catch up with City. The WC has just reduced transfer activity. If we do any business at all, I think we'll overpay for Willian and actually sign Bonnuci.

I'd take a 33 year old Modric, absolutely in awe every time I watch him play. He can play top level football until he's 37 I reckon. They are okay to be the 6th or 7th option in our midfield.
Pereira
“I told him that I felt ready to compete. He was happy to hear that and said I would get my chance."
Also, Mourinho awarded McTominay a trophy for ‘Manager’s Player of the Year’.
So, I guess they would get some minutes vs easy teams if we need to rest Matic, Pogba, Fred, Herrera and Fellaini.
Next year, we could sign a midfielder to replace or rotate with Matic.
Why have a message board if we can't post opinions?
What makes you think mandzukic and sandro will be enough to swing a 20 point difference in the league?

Then they obviously slept through last season.Perhaps the glazers have looked at the lack of activity at city and thought if they ain't spending a lot then we don't need to. Obviously we do need at least a proper rw as a very bare minimum
Reckon the depatures of Blind and Darmian would spark some life into our window also no way we're just sitting on our hands, stuff must be going on behind the scenes. Mourinho runs a right ship. The media dosen't have a clue whats going on.
Or maybe Jose needs to sell before buying. Plenty of deadwood in the squad, ie Jones, Darmian, Blind, Mata should all leave this summer.
We need two players : a left back and a right winger.
The problem is that these 2 players have been on the brink of being sold for a while, now. We just can't seem to get them out of the door.
Shaw and Young will be staying, which certainly means no new LB. Why would we need 3 LB/LWBs?
The reports I have read in the media suggest that we are not in for any attackers (ie. no RW).
We already bought Fred to replace Carrick in CM. Fellaini re-signed.
What I am trying to say is that there is every reason to believe that nobody else is coming.
If the Glazers have decided that Top 4 is good enough for the upcoming season, then the squad as it stands right now, is adequate. We should be able to scrape 4th place.
As the cliché goes he's not a great goalscorer but rather a scorer of great goals, and important goals in big games at that. Lukaku just can't seem to do it on the big occasions so I'd love to have him as an option, particularly in the champions league.Back up striker I'd love to take is Mandzukic. He'd cost next to nothing as well.
The next and last signing will be a CB. Anything else is wishful thinking.Nonsense. Ed always goes for big transfers, and we've been rumoured to be in for 3 different positions - something is bound to happen.
You also have Mourinho who will be breathing him down his neck for at least a big transfer. We've only spent 66m gbp and possibly have some outs too.

All it tells you is how many the usual transfer rumours are entirely rubbish and made up. At the minute the WC is getting clicks, so journos are focusing their attention on that.Kinda weird with about a month to go the only story that keeps popping up is William. Which really just doesn’t get the muppet juices going. A lot can happen in a month but normally the press have some sort of lead on a target.
Happens at every single World Cup pretty much. Not weird in the slightest.Kinda weird with about a month to go the only story that keeps popping up is William. Same goes every year. Darmian, Blind, Jones, Mata. We fall back on them being merely 'squad options' yet they let us down time and again when actually selected. Young has turned it around but the above must be moved on, Pep would have done so long ago.I’d take just as much encouragement at seeing some of our deadwood leave. Too many players still hanging around who aren’t good enough.
Pizza Hut.The only way I can see a LB is if Shaw leaves. And it doesn't look like Shaw is going anywhere.
I think any excuse not to spend suits the glazers. They would be happy to finish top 4 money wise. Then they obviously slept through last season.
We all did watching United in fairness. Then they obviously slept through last season.
We do sign a lot of mediocrity as well over the yearsIts called negotiating. We have been selling our players for peanuts, good on Woody for trying to actually get some real cash.
I dont really get this doom and gloom narrative that has taken over this thread of us becoming the new Arsenal. We are a commercial force right now and feature on countless richest clubs lists every year. We got their by constantly making marquee signings and not accepting mediocrity. Its more likely the media dosen't have a clue about our transfer dealings than Mourinho morphing into Wenger. I'm certain before the window ends we'll at least have a CB and a LB. Besides its not like all the other top clubs in Europe have made numerous signings. Yes, there are countless rumours floating around but not many signings. Its a World Cup year, things will pick up. Folks need to chill a bit.
Would love that, he's a goal threat too. We need goals.I personally wouldn't mind signing Mertens, sure he's on hte wrong side of 30, but he gets the ball into the box, already knows how to play with Lukaku (and Fellaini) and I think he would be a quality short term (a couple of seasons) option until we can find a young hungry right winger. I also think we would get him at a reasonable price.
Come on, look at the money we have spent post SAF, there is very little in the way of restraint in our spending.I think any excuse not to spend suits the glazers. They would be happy to finish top 4 money wise.
