Yeah it's unfortunate that that's the next game coming up. If Portugal-Ghana was next, and they get a BTTS then the cash out would be a lot more tempting.

But meh - I'm scared that Colombia won't score more than Japan not scoring.

Colombia are a far better team and create lots of chances. Not sure they are going to win here mind, they hardly have anything to play for. Japan will score and concede.
 
Hugely fancy Uruguay.....whether I've got the bottle to put the money on that makes it worthwhile is another. Will update.

This. I think Uruguay will spring a surprise and win. I'd go for BTTS Uruguay win (9/2). But I'm not feeling brave enough to back it up.

Yes but it's often misleading to think that they will just neglect the final game. Won me serious money when everyone expected Croatia and Netherlands to lose to Poland and Romania in 2008 because they'd already won their groups yet they went and won comfortably. South American teams always play to win.
 
Colombia should still win. Hungry second string, climate preference etc.

What if they were to rest players though? I want to go on Columbia as well, but would rather wait for the line ups before putting money down.
 
Actually fancy over 2.5 goals in every game this evening:
  • Uruguay & Italy will be out to score goals to claim second spot
  • Greece & Japan need to go for it to at least have a chance of qualifying
  • Ivory Coast could top the group and also need to secure second
  • Costa Rica will want to top the group to avoid the winners of Group C
  • England's 2nd string will have a point to prove and might go gung-ho
  • Colombia could be the downfall - but if Japan go for it, they could easily punish them on the counter

Even better then. Their second string is still a very strong team plus they'll have something to prove ahead of Italy/Uruguay game in the next round.

Colombia's second team probably consists of Bacca, Martinez, Guarin, Ramos and Quintero, more than good enough to beat Japan

I did have £41 today, now £60 after playing around. I'm extremely impatient.

Really don't know what to go for today. I JUST missed the chance to win £90 yesterday so ideally want to get to around that mark today. Getting £60 to £90 can't be that hard, surely?! :lol:

Italian possession line now 54.5 - still think it's do able as Uruguay aren't that great at keeping the ball and Italy will probably try to keep it away from them as Uruguay are going to chase. Still reckon it's work a play?
 
Costa Rica are serious value at 7/2. This is a team that's deservedly beat the two teams that have just beaten England. Yet the bookies have England odds on. Bizarre.

I'd be careful backing Uruguay. That performance from Suarez may have taken it out of him a bit. Italy are preparing to set up very defensively as well, I think they will be very hard to break down today.

Was really liking Italy over in possession as well but then saw it has gone up to 54.5%. Still like it though so may bide my time to see if it comes down and if not, then go for it before kickoff.

I also fancy there to be tons of fouls also, but have gone for the over 3.5 cards @2.2.

Both lines seem to have jumped in your favour so well done there.

Decided to follow you all on the cards market - think there is good reasoning behind it with a normal referee so there is the advantage with a more strict referee of it coming in.

I reckon so. No matter how well Uruguay play they don't tend to dominate possession. They got to the semis last time round and only had over 50% possession once, and most of those teams were less capable in possession than Italy. I'd go for it but don't hold me to it if doesn't come off!

Thinking the same and I thought the same with Uruguay last time but turned them down purely because the odds were so high that I thought I must be missing something. The double chance @ 2.2 looks the best bet but seeing as Betfair are offering me a 25% refund on any bets placed over the next couple of days I decided to stick £10 on them @ 4.9. Went for Costa Rica/Draw double chance and Ivory Coast win @ 3/1 as well.

2.2? There must've been a lot of people jumping on that because it's down to 1.7 on Marathonbet. Under 3.5 cards is 2.2 actually!
