Cameroon Under 5 Shots on Target - 23/20

Was having a look at this market before the Dutch game but didn't play any, so decided to look at the other games and I like this one. Can see Brazil dominating this game, especially if Holland top the group, leaving little room for Cameroon chances. Cameroon had 1 shot on target vs Mexico, and 2 vs Croatia.

Edit: Gone for a double with Croatia Over 50.5% possession - I think they're going to try and control the game especially as they need a win so hopefully the goal will come quite late otherwise they could start to defend

Ballsy, but so far so good.

What I've found on numerous times this World Cup it's always the selection most likely to come in that fecks up.

I would've won big if Uruguay beat Costa Rica by 2 or more goals, would've won big if Japan beat 10 man Greece, would've won big if Italy beat Costa Rica.

So, don't let me down Brazil & Croatia!

Good start to my absolutely huge accumulator from the previous page. Keep it going big guns.

Got that too. But I got another winner on 10 minute sprees 11th-21st Brazil 11/4. If betfair didn't jip me by randomly defaulting my default limits to £1...then I would of had Neymar first goalscorer with them too, bastards.

Also have a -2 Brazil and Croatia BTTS double. But lost on all 4 to score all earlier.

With my £5 free bet I went with :

England v Costa Rica over 2.5
Italy v Uruguay BTTS
Argentina WIN v Nigeria
France v Ecuador over 2.5
Japan v Columbia over 1.5

£5 returns £61.

That second Neymar goal has netted me another £5, having a look what's available now.

Anyone have any clarification on how FIFA/Marathonbet measure "Attempts on Target"? I make it that Cameroon have had 1 (their goal), but the FIFA website says 5 - in which case my bet is down.

On bet365 it says Cameroon has only had on shot on target.

I had brazil to have most corners, got so lucky with the ref blowing full time on cameroons corner, never playing that market again.

So I signed up to Marathon Bet earlier on my phone and put a tenner on Brazil and Spain to win, now I've just looked at my account and apparently it's gone on as something called a lose-to-win bet and I've lost the tenner. What the feck is that all about?!

It's a nice new take on accumulator, where you win if one or more of your selections does not match the result.

Example:

Mexico - Croatia
Brazil - Cameroon
Holland - Chile

If you bet on Mexico, Brazil and Holland, you'd LOSE this accumulator. If you've bet on Mexico, Brazil and Chile, you would have won.

Here's more eloquent explanation from Marathonbet itself.

9.7. Lose-to-Win accumulator
A Lose-to-Win accumulator is the opposite of an accumulator bet in determining how it wins and pays out, i.e. a Lose-to-Win accumulator bet pays out if the appropriate accumulator loses. In other words, theLose-to-Win accumulator is a bet on two or more selections from various events, where you win if at least one selection does not match the result.

(Remember in an accumulator bet all the selections must match the results in order for your bet to win)

The total price of the Lose-to-Win accumulator is calculated automatically proportional to the actual accumulator’s winning price.

Example: €100 is bet on the Lose-to-Win accumulator consisting of 3 events with the following prices: 1.50, 2.00, 2.60. The system-calculated winning odds on the Lose-to-Win accumulator is 1.125.

If at least one of the selections does not match the results, the payout will be €112.5, and net winnings (excluding the bet amount €100) will be €12.5.

Croatia destroyed another of my accumulators. I might play one more tomorrow with 5-6 games for a tenner, willing to go with:

Ivory Coast
England
France
Switzerland
Germany
Bosnia
Argentina

All draw no bets can return up to 157 from 25.

Thanks, I understand what that is now after googling it, however my problem is that I never selected that. I simply clicked on both teams to win, went to the multiples tab and clicked bet. I don't understand where this market came from because I certainly didn't ask for it.

What odds did you get on the double?

I didn't see odds before the game but I would expect £10 to return in the region of £16 on a Spain and Brazil double.

Just under evens, which I did think was a little high but thought nothing of it because I've seen so many people on here saying they offer much higher odds than most online bookies.

You probably did though. They are extremely close to each other, easy to misclick and not notice.

EDIT: Actually, you're on phone, have no idea of layout there.

I accidentally clicked on the lose-to-win accumulator myself yesterday so it can be done.

I'm not much of a stats bettor but it seems so obvious there'll be fouls in the Uruguay-Italy game. Uruguay are very dirty and always break up the play in the middle, Italy always play through the midfield and as the result matters one team is bound to get desperate/frustrated. Uruguay aren't a great possession side either because of their midfield three so Italy should be the one dominating this game. Uruguay might get the result on the break but Italy should have more of the ball no matter what.

Over 29.5 fouls @ 1.82
Uruguay over 16.5 fouls @ 1.9
Italy possession over 53.5 @ 1.9

Looking at it now all of the odds seem to have shortened so I'm feeling pretty good about these bets...

That Croatia goal fecked me for a good night! Can't complain too much as on quite a few occasions I've had a late, meaningless goal win a BTTS or o2.5 goals bet.

All over Chile for the next round. Bookies expecting Brazil to magically just turn it on as the tournament gets further, and opponents get harder?

I placed an insurance bet last in case Croatia fecked up my 4 fold, luckily I did.

I now have £41 to play with today. I want the safest bets possible, if that is even possible.

What shall I go for? Columbia and Ivory Coast double chance good idea?

My main bet today is over 3.5 yellows at that game. It will be feisty, and might get on a red card bet as well.

Yesterday was a good day. I had a winner on Spain, Brazil and over 2.5 in mexico game @ 2.54.

Really struggling with today's fixtures though. Any bets I'd consider going for have rubbish odds.

I have a £5 accumulator on the go for 5 matches to have both teams scoring. USA-Portugal and South Korea-Algeria came in, so now I need Japan-Colombia today and then Ecuador-France and Ghana-Portugal to have it.

They're offering a pay-out of £13 at the moment, which is hardly tempting. I'm not feeling too confident about the Japan-Colombia match. Hope for the best.

I'll want to see Costa Rica's line up before looking at England's game.
Italy-Uruguay will be feisty affair I'm sure. Might go for BTTS in that game.
Greee-Ivory Coast - may go for over 2.5 goals.
Japan - Colombia - over 2.5 goals again.

I think the Japan Colombia game may be the one to let you down there if any do. Looks like a good bet though.

Japan have been a serious disappointment, I a really think they've let the whole country down with their static performances.

I LOVE Both teams to score in Portugal-Ghana. I'm going to hope it goes 10 minutes without a goal, then hammer it in play!

Two crazy bets I feel could be good for today:

Colombia to win BTTS
Ivory Coast to win BTTS

Give 17/1 and I reckon could well land. Japan and Greece have to go for it yet I reckon Ivory Coast and Colombia will have too much quality for them and will hit them on a counter.

Good odds but I don't know if Greece and Japan have any goals in them, that would be my main concern.

I like BTTS in Ivory Coast game. Ivory coast will come out to attack, know they will need to in order to break down this Greece defence. This should lead to a few good opportunities on the break for Greece. I can see it going very much like the Colombia v Greece game but with more chances for Greece to score, as IC's defence isn't is disciplined as Colombia's. Don't say this very often when Greece are involved, but could be a entertaining match.

I'm not certain at all about this bet which is why I probably won't bother, just pointed out some very good odds there given the amount of BTTS games we have had at this World Cup and circumstances of both matches.

I wanted to exit but will carry on playing for small stakes. Willing to put a tenner on something today but these games, especially in Colombian group, are very hard to predict. In theory Ivory Coast and Colombia are cleary superior teams but Colombia have nothing left to play for while Greece tend to grind out results when it matters. Ivory Coast are notorious bottlers as well.
