Anyone have any clarification on how FIFA/Marathonbet measure "Attempts on Target"? I make it that Cameroon have had 1 (their goal), but the FIFA website says 5 - in which case my bet is down.
On bet365 it says Cameroon has only had on shot on target.
Fifa talking shit as usual!Thats what I make it - but FIFA says 5.
Fifa talking shit as usual!
£500 up since the start of the WC. There is good money to be had.
Tomorrow's games.
All over 2.5 goals.
£20 returns £180 on Betvictor.
So I signed up to Marathon Bet earlier on my phone and put a tenner on Brazil and Spain to win, now I've just looked at my account and apparently it's gone on as something called a lose-to-win bet and I've lost the tenner. What the feck is that all about?!
Thanks, I understand what that is now after googling it, however my problem is that I never selected that. I simply clicked on both teams to win, went to the multiples tab and clicked bet. I don't understand where this market came from because I certainly didn't ask for it.It's a nice new take on accumulator, where you win if one or more of your selections does not match the result.
Example:
Mexico - Croatia
Brazil - Cameroon
Holland - Chile
If you bet on Mexico, Brazil and Holland, you'd LOSE this accumulator. If you've bet on Mexico, Brazil and Chile, you would have won.
Here's more eloquent explanation from Marathonbet itself.
9.7. Lose-to-Win accumulator
A Lose-to-Win accumulator is the opposite of an accumulator bet in determining how it wins and pays out, i.e. a Lose-to-Win accumulator bet pays out if the appropriate accumulator loses. In other words, theLose-to-Win accumulator is a bet on two or more selections from various events, where you win if at least one selection does not match the result.
(Remember in an accumulator bet all the selections must match the results in order for your bet to win)
The total price of the Lose-to-Win accumulator is calculated automatically proportional to the actual accumulator’s winning price.
Example: €100 is bet on the Lose-to-Win accumulator consisting of 3 events with the following prices: 1.50, 2.00, 2.60. The system-calculated winning odds on the Lose-to-Win accumulator is 1.125.
If at least one of the selections does not match the results, the payout will be €112.5, and net winnings (excluding the bet amount €100) will be €12.5.
What odds did you get on the double? Thanks, I understand what that is now after googling it, however my problem is that I never selected that. Just under evens, which I did think was a little high but thought nothing of it because I've seen so many people on here saying they offer much higher odds than most online bookies. What odds did you get on the double?
I didn't see odds before the game but I would expect £10 to return in the region of £16 on a Spain and Brazil double.

I'm not much of a stats bettor but it seems so obvious there'll be fouls in the Uruguay-Italy game. Uruguay are very dirty and always break up the play in the middle, Italy always play through the midfield and as the result matters one team is bound to get desperate/frustrated.
I have a £5 accumulator on the go for 5 matches to have both teams scoring. USA-Portugal and South Korea-Algeria came in, so now I need Japan-Colombia today and then Ecuador-France and Ghana-Portugal to have it.
They're offering a pay-out of £13 at the moment, which is hardly tempting. I'm not feeling too confident about the Japan-Colombia match. Hope for the best.
I'll want to see Costa Rica's line up before looking at England's game.
Italy-Uruguay will be feisty affair I'm sure. Might go for BTTS in that game.
Greee-Ivory Coast - may go for over 2.5 goals.
Japan - Colombia - over 2.5 goals again.
Two crazy bets I feel could be good for today:
Colombia to win BTTS
Ivory Coast to win BTTS
Give 17/1 and I reckon could well land. Japan and Greece have to go for it yet I reckon Ivory Coast and Colombia will have too much quality for them and will hit them on a counter.
Good odds but I don't know if Greece and Japan have any goals in them, that would be my main concern.
