Seems extremely confident in his own abilities. :)

Ok Ed is winning me over tbh. He said his favorite memory at United in the past decade was in Munich this year when the team visited the air disaster memorial site and Sir Bobby spoke to all the fans in attendance and gave a speech.

"Lot of work going on behind the scenes (wrt targets). Watch this space."

"I want to stop seeing the biggest players go to Spain."

:D

Woodward just said he wants to stop our best players from going to Spain, a slight dig at David Gill that. His vision is also to make us the best club in the world.

He didnt say "our" players did he?
I thought he did.

It's funny how fast our opinion changes about a person. A year ago we wanted him gone!

edit: My bad, he said "I want us to stop seeing the best players in the world going to Spain"

He came across well. He's clearly a clever bastard.

I'm sold on Ed lads. Interviewer asked him if there is an expectation to win the league as a team going from 7th to 1st he mentioned Liverpool as being close to achieving that last season. Ed responded saying that while there are no set expectations he does not want the club to be an "also ran" and wants us to challenge :D

Good interview, he was not how I expected. I liked him and his vision, looks like he's the right guy to take us forward.

I've been telling you for the last year, the guy is the boss. Stick by him.

good lines.

But did anyone expect a "yeah we're doing jack now, we're done" type comment?

What's the benefit in bullshitting if there is nothing going on?

"United miss out on all their targets again" headline on September 1st? Yeah great PR.

Well he's hyping the pressure on himself. As these words are similar to last year at the moment....only difference is not making public which players

Last season Id have said the same thing but I think positive moves have been made so far recently and Ill reserve judgement until after Aug 31st . I think LVG/Woodie have something major up their sleeves.

He seemed much more easy going than Gill ever was in his interviews. Though Gill achieved success through quiet business, Woody is risking looking a fool again with his quotes but I have faith.

Came across very well in the interview. Didn't stutter and looked confident. That's more like it. I wasn't sure we'd do much more business but not sure now. Well done Ed.

Exactly. We all know last summer was a complete disaster but Woodward would surely have learned from it.

He's clearly a cocky guy, which I assume you'd have to be in his position. He wouldn't have made such bold claims if he didn't have anything to back it up.
