Eh. I don't see how his quotes are different from anything he or Gill has said in the past. It's always the same "we have no set budget", "we want the best players", "have a warchest" etc. etc.

I seem to remember that Gill used to play down transfers a bit now and then.

I expected a totally different voice although I'm not sure why.

I've not watched the interview but have seen some of the quotes. He does talk a good game but lets hope what he's saying is true unlike last years fiasco.

Even if he's lying or talking shit, the manner in which he does it is important, comes across as a strong, self-assured man. That impression is needed for our fans, players, manager and sponsors.

Thanks a lot @Olly ..... loved the Antivir popup as well

He can have all the intentions in the world but he's really set himself up for failure with those comments.

Well, his "Watch this space" quote is in the official twitter, so there is no going back now. :D

If you combine this bullishness from Woodward with him learning from the fiasco of last summer and the fact we simply can't afford another repeat of last year's league placing, you'd think the Club have now created too much smoke for there not be any fire.

Players will surely be coming in.

All he implied was we're not yet done in the transfer market. Did anyone here really think we were done?

I found the bit at the end more interesting when he spoke about how he inherited the club in an "astonishing" state.

I image he's already got something in the bag already. These comments aren't accidental,United could of decide to not show the interview or literally do another take.

After last season it would be beyond stupid to make such bold claims knowing there could be a chance of it going wrong. Ed's clearly got something done.

He sounded confident and composed, I liked it. He didn't actually say anything surprising or unexpected though. Calm down.

Did he mean that in a good way or not? I can't tell.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but Ed meant that in a positive way & he didnt say "state" as far as i can recall..

League Champions & massive record revenues in 2013 - he wasnt being negative at all, he was just saying he's taken the reigns of a beast of a company. That must have been hard to deal with - as he said in that interview too..

Is it me or was Woodward dropping some massive hints during his interview as to what may be coming or was it just me?

Uploaded it to Dailymotion instead of Youtube in the hope that it wont be deleted as quickly.

Also, @Stobzilla

That was excellent to listen to.

Muppetry has grown to new levels.

Never felt so confident about a new season. Will we win the league, doubt it, but you never know, top 4 feels almost guaranteed.

Looking forward to seeing the new United football style.

No wonder he got Chevvy guy sacked the man can literally sell icecream in the Poles. I don't think it was necessary for him to raise expectations like that though.

I've put his comments through the muppet translator and they mean Vidal and Hummels at a minimum.

He basically said what everyone hopes we are doing, which is looking into new transfers based on who Van Gaal wants to buy. Nothing unusual about that imo.
