Even if this case gets thrown out, there's a decent chance the woman goes civil. Does anyone think so?
I’m pretty sure a civil suit would get settled quite fast.

He really isn't though. We're talking about Cristiano Ronaldo here, nothing substantial is gonna happen to him.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...ldo-served-summons-face-rape-allegations.html
Ronaldo is in huge trouble if this goes through
Grammar question to the article: is 'summonsed' an actual word? I think I get that the meaning of it is 'receiving a summons', but I thought the verb for that were simply summon/summoned.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...ldo-served-summons-face-rape-allegations.html

Looks extremely bad on him if he's now running away from the US.
Like his address is really so hard to find?
Just look where the press are camped out every day.

He lives in a gated community, so I don’t think the press would have access.
There is a gate to camp outside.
Sure, but there are X houses inside. Where does the goat graze?
It really isn't going to that difficult to find out where he lives.
If you don’t have access to the community then you obviously won’t know which house he lives at.
That said, these lawyers do look like amateurs considering they have spent almost a year to try to give him the papers. Shouldn’t be that difficult to serve him while he’s writing autographs etc after a match for instance.
They just have to turn up at the training ground, it's not that difficult.
I don't think Juventus would have any obligation to let them in though.

Why on earth do they need to serve the papers in person anyway?
Post them to him, c/o of the club.
I'm not even talking about his guilt but if he's seen to exile himself from the US, his reputation would be dragged through the mud regardless. Who's that film director who was to face assault charges but ran away?I’ve listened to way too many podcasts to ever want to be on trial in US, it’s plea deal else you’re pretty much fecked.
Charge stacking means almost everyone has to take a deal, no matter how innocent they may be.

Another stash of moolahs?Reportedly dropped the case

Another stash of moolahs?
She's happy, she has her money.
Didn’t he pay the biological mother of his eldest son $10m for a NDA?Christ. I bet he dropped about £20m on that.
Don't blame her though, he would have evaded justice one way or another.

Are you implying he's guilty of rape ?
Are you implying he's guilty of rape ?
Wasn't he basically quoted admitting that he had sex while the woman said no?
