It really can't be. This line of thinking is why the accuser is always put on trial rather than the accused.

Yeah that's fair. It's easy to prove if shes being honest or not with whatever she is claiming. It's also something I dont know I'd we'll ever find out the truth on, so basically any claim/accusation/whatever should never be talked about in any sense in an ideal world until everything is 100%proven and if it gets released.

The point I was making was that when somebody has a history of lies/false accusations/attention seeking, any future claim by that same person on a similar topic doesnt get taken as seriously regardless of if it's true or not because of their past. They need rock solid proof, and in this case as you say, it's easy for them to find out if shes telling the truth or not.

Its fair that that line of thinking can cause damage to the ones who are struggling with these issues. But equally, the false accusations cause even more damage because it leads people into going into these situations with that line of thinking of the accuser being on trial and not the accused, which shouldnt be the case.

Also I know ideally every claim would be able to be fully checked. Not entirely sure it works like that in reality though? High profile cases like this I'd imagine you have loads of idiots just saying random shit and they have countless of random people always making random claims.

It's not political correctness to ask of you to treat the thread and its subject with the proper gravitas. A thread about actual, credible rape allegations is not the place to jokingly post tabloid quotes about the accused's dong size.

Also, where's the hypocrisy, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not gonna play judge here. I have zero knowledge about this case and am not gonna bother like I know until the final judgment is out so no need to vilify him yet. I just saw a comment about Ronaldo having an incredibly big dong. That's funny. I laugh.

To be honest I agree. It's really easy for people to get offended on here (I'm not saying they are wrong to get offended but comments can be misinterpreted easily and not sure what productive info we are gaining out of this)

I saw Jippy write the word odious and it triggers me when it seems you're the ones who want to keep the thread's tone negative. With that said and with more careful inspection I don't think the term was directly aimed at me but the thread in general. I don't know because I haven't read it. Bit pointless in a situation where one of the parts are lying and you have no reason to know which. So people here will just take sides and defend it beyond absurdity.

It’s acceptable to you in a thread about said individual potentially being accused of rape? You really don’t see the issue with it?
 
I'd love to know why certain human beings spend so much time and effort constantly - almost automatically on instant, defending a sportsperson they've never met and seem to have an unhealthy obsession for.

It's fascinating to watch from the outside.

Thing is I hardly see anyone defending Ronaldo on here (I haven't read most of this thread but the little I have). It's not fair to automatically label him as a rapist because "Rich young dumb uneducated cocky footballers obviously he must have done it". Let it happen in the courts. Don't play judge. Don't defend him don't vilify him. That's it.

Your comment is no skin off my nose. But your ignorance needs to be checked, it’s part of the larger problem and any opportunity to educate someone about it should be taken. It’s a shame you won’t learn why what you did and said was wrong.

The date of the recordings is weird, some are in January last year and some are from November. There’s screenshots of what’spp conversations saved next to the audio recordings that I’d love to know what they said.

Yeah those voice recordings were laughably fake. And now deleting her account. What an attention seeker, disgusting behaviour when people piggy back on high profile cases just to make a bit of a name for themselves. fecked.
