Willian at Man Utd?

Also, my quick analysis shows him to come out well.

Your not a Six Sigma specialist are you?

My thoughts.

I like Willian, I like his speed around the middle and attacking half of the pitch. He is a good set piece specialist often scoring from free kicks. Sometimes his shots are a bit wild and defensively he does not run back as much.

I could see him doing a job for you for a couple of seasons though at what price and I suspect he would keep Lingard out of the team.

Meulensteen recommended him to Utd before he came to Chelsea. It was when he was at Anzhi but of course that was the Moyes days and signing anyone was seemingly a joke. I think he's a very good player that would suit us very well.

Very good player or not, said then will say it now, huge respect to that guy, when everyone turned on JM in Chelsea`s second season,he was the only one who kept trying and giving his best, like he ignored rest of gang down tooling and played for the club and fans the best he could.

Yep this is why I think Mourinho wouldn't be averse to signing him, as I imagine he would be for the rest of that Chelsea squad. Disgusting the way they deliberately didn't put any effort in whatsoever.

This was my tip at the start of the season. He still has a very good relationship with Jose so I think it's very possible.

Chelsea likely won't sell to us, and if they do they'll fleece us.

Rather have a look at Douglas Costa at Bayern.

Not that they won't fleece us as well.

I think an upgrade on lingaard said above is a good assessment. So long as he isnt expensive he can be a good squad player.but he shouldnot be the main focus.fabregas is anothet chelsea player linked.we dont have good passer s of the ball so might be good option.but he seems to have lost his apetite.

Chelsea won't sell their players to United. It's plain and simple. Even if they have to sell Willian and Fabregas, they won't sell to anyone in the PL. It's wishful thinking.

If Lingard's wages are true then I imagine he is being used as our equivalent, ending any interest in Willian.

Is that the only reason or something else happened? :)

Those of little faith will say it's some promotion for Xbox or FIFA or summat like that but I'm embracing the muppetry here.

Dontknow where you're getting this 'lost his appetite' from. Cesc is a model pro, brilliant team player, and one of the reasons we'll hopefully soon be champions!

Signing a winger/AM who will be 29 when the next season starts and isn't a feck off star is basically always a mistake, but Mourinho does seem to trust his signings and if we don't get Griezmann and instead spend big on a 9 like Mbappe, Belotti or Lukaku there might be worse moves in terms of production for a year or two. Very low upside but maybe help us get into the top 4 and get through the CL groups.

'There were a few conversations with my agent. I worked with Mourinho and I became his friend as well.

'He likes me a lot and I like him a lot as a coach and as a person. He has put his trust in me and in my work, and I was very grateful to him.

'Manchester came to me, they talked with my agent, but nothing happened, because Chelsea would not negotiate me in any way and I'm very happy at Chelsea.'

Would be another 'solid' signing, but not one to take us up a level.

I just have to add something to this video. Obviously the footage is made with some sort of cameras at the training ground - the same stuff LVG added to our training facilities and was later removed by José. I think this is a good example of a successful coach using the technique and turning it into something useful - that eventually led to a PL title. So, to hell with all the bullshit about LVG's cameras. They had a purpose.

Yep, they won the PL title because of the cameras.

Don't want him. He is good, but not someone for Utd standards. Such players should not be our aim if we want to achieve greatness.

Putting in the typical response about any player on Caf.

Also, 28 years old. No resale value. Will lose his pace next year and be a nothing player.lol

We might as well have bought Abramovic out for Chelsea.

Its interesting how Matic was seen negatively until seeing him in a red shirt, this lad in my opinion would be the same. Matic has made me realise how low our ceilings become where average is now seen as great at utd. Most of our players wouldnt make the chelsea starting 11 based on performances.

I don't think Chelsea are miles ahead of us.

What are you smoking? Chelsea were dreaming of signing "the next Drogba" Lukaku back and then they had to settle for Morata. Conte didn't even sanction the Matic move. That much is obvious.

Pogba, Mkhi, Mata and Herrera would all start for Chelsea. I heard they were sniffing around Darmian aswell.

No they wouldn't. Mata is too slow for the front 3, Pedro scored loads last season so where would Miki go? He still has it all to prove. Herrera aint replacing Kante or their new signing. guess again. Pogba would start on rep but may lose his place eventually for the sake of balance.

Mata is better than Pedro and Herrera is miles ahead of Bakayoko. If Chelsea could have Herrera, they wouldn't bother with Bakayoko. You're deluded.

I'm sick of our fans underrating our players. Yes we're not quite a world class team but let's not act like they're all midtable quality and wouldn't get into most top sides. Give me a break. Chelsea aren't that far ahead of us quality wise. In fact I think we'll finish above them this season purely because they lost Costa and Matic. And we beat them to Lukaku.
