Just talking transfers with my old man, and he reckons this is a smoke screen for a Vidal deal. He watches a lot of Spanish footy and doesnt rate him.
Great smokescreen seeing as us chasing Vidal is the bigger story.

Lolzies
Mata, Herrera and Vidal would work similarly to Di Maria, Khedira and Modric combination that started the champions league final.
As above, he hasn't had a single good game in La Liga. Not one.
Carvalho
Vidal - Herrera
feck.
Oh is that where Portugal is. Thanks for clearing that up
That´s alright mate, we have only been independent from Spain since 1139.

That's usually how long it takes me to catch on. Good luck in the WC
I suspect it would be better then this midfield

Khedira is more defensive minded than Herrera or Vidal. Modric sits back a bit more as well.
Or, more accurately, we have existed for far longer (more than 300 years) than Spain, which didn't exist back then.
Just read the last few posts. Pretty obvious that there are hardly any news on Carvalho.
No news mate. Actually been more rumours about Rojo our argentinian internacional and Slimani algerian internacional rather than Carvalho. Like i said, it´s highly unlikely he moves this summer. Our President has said there has been no offers and i believe in him.
I think they are outpricing him with that supposed release clause. Do you think he will still be valued the same if he has an average season this year.
The release clause is merely indicative but our President has been saying that he can only leave for the clause level because we have financial leverage with the Champions League revenue. That´s the main cause. With that income we covered the majority of the budget. Him being our best player last year and also the fact we lost our manager to Mónaco aren´t helping circunstancies for a move either.
Your president is quite clearly saying that he can only leave for his clause because he'd quite like to get a lot of money for him and maybe reinvest it in the squad for the coming Champions League campaign.
Our interest has clearly dropped and he's trying to drum up some interest in him. There's no other reason why a manager would come out and talk like he has when nobody is trying to buy his player anyway.
Not worth it for the price being quoted anyway. Sure he's good but for 30+ we want somebody who is going to be the full ticket. Vidal / Schweinsteiger / Kroos etc..Seems to have gone quiet on united potentially singing this dude.
Shaw was just under 30m English factor granted. Not worth it for the price being quoted anyway. Sure he's good but for 30+ we want somebody who is going to be the full ticket. Vidal / Schweinsteiger / Kroos etc..

This. Seems to me he wants to sell, otherwise why is he drawing the attention?
If you were to list all the players in Spain in order of talent, Carvalho would certainly be lastJust talking transfers with my old man, and he reckons this is a smoke screen for a Vidal deal. He watches a lot of Spanish footy and doesnt rate him.

Glad this has gone quiet, not quite at the level we need him to be.
I'd say we've either moved away from him or he's a backup option if we can't sign preferred targets. It wouldn't surprise me if that story were leaked just to try and catalyse some interest from ourselves and anyone else interested.I did think about Carvalho the other day when van Gaal said in his Press Conference that Herrera and Shaw were already on the list of targets and he gave his approval because he likes them.
Given Carvalho was also said to be amongst those previous targets, does that mean we've moved away from him now?
I'm still holding out that we get him. No news could be good news.
