Making a 6m bid in next 48 hours. Making the bid must be the most time consuming thing in football.

Yes, an unnamed utd official gets on the phone and starts phoning several agents, club officials and journalists. "We're putting a bid together, spread the word".

They then let it stew in the media and internets for a period between 24 hours and 6.2 years to gauge public and industry related reaction. This reaction determines the size and timing of the bid.

"Purple monkey dishwasher."

Yes.

Meanwhile, I'm preparing a bid for the new Dr Who assistant.

So his valuation has reduced fom £20M, down to £12M & now £6m + addons.

If we wait a bit longer will get him on a free...

Right!

The value seems to be going down and down.

Personally (that means if I were playing a real life football manager) I would offer a non-negotiable offer of £5m with Macheda, Powell and Zaha himself on loan until May.

Palace co-owner Steve Parish originally valued the England forward at £20m.

But Sportsmail understands United will play hardball with the Championship club by making a cash offer as low as £6million.

It is understood United will pay half of the fee up front, with the remainder staggered over the course of Zaha's contract.

fecking Glazers

Cracks me up, England forward after one appearance in a friendly - that to was a sub?

It is being said that Fergei is present at Stoke today, to watch Zaha supposedly. Well, according to David Anderson of the Mirror anyway.

Booked for diving. Has won a pen. 5 Live reporter also said Fergie was there.

Strange bollocks going around on shitter twitter, some saying SAF is there, some saying he didn't turn up, some saying he didn't turn up because he's meeting Sneijder's agent...

Who knows?!

Probably getting Sneijder's advice on the best way to prepare the Zaha bid.

Let me just see if I can piece this together...

Yeah, I figured it out:

Don't read twitter, you Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

He was meant to be there but hasn't turned up according to a Telegraph reporter.

All that Sneijder stuff is coming from twitter "ITK"

Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime? From somebody called ciderman? Is this real life?

Yes, it's bollocks. Of course I know that.

FergieWatch: No confirmation yet - although more seems to say he's there than the opposite. BBC seem to believe he's there.

I've been ill and away from computers for basically 24 hours. Has this escalated into something more than a rumour then?

Yeah. Sun saying we'll sign him tomorrow. Mail saying we're making a bid tomorrow. Various sources saying Fergie is or is not at Stoke watching him.

Really? He played 55 mins in the first tie and now off at HT...
Cancel the preparations. Bring back b3b3.

That seems a bit off, doesn't it? Wonder if he picked up a knock.. In which case he's definitely a United player.
