Would also cost a lot more and expect a lot more starts. We cant always sign high profile players

To be fair the way our wingers have been playing this season I reckon pretty much any player we could sign would expect to be a starter.

Everytime I see this thread bumped along with the twitter thread, I instinctively think there's a development.

Sounds like young Walcott and Chamberlain

Walcott yeah, but he was wasted while playing on the Wings at Arsenal. Is playing centrally now and doing better.

Chamberlain is not the same.

You've done a great job with Ashley Young, he's even worse than he was at Villa.

His confidence got shot playing for England in the WC, where he was out of his depth. Has started to recover this season.

We are utilizing him pretty well for 2 seasons now, despite him being a limited player.

What bullshit is this?

Oops.

Don't know how i ended up typing World Cup instead of the Euros there. :wenger:

He was good last season in a squad role, and this season his confidence got shot due to the Euros where he was found out of his depth. Started the season like shit and has improved in recent games.

WC...Euros...it's still a load of shit. Blaming Hodgson for his shitness is ridiculous.

Huh ? Where did i blame Hodgson ?

I said he was found out at that level, which shot his confidence. You just need to see the start of the season.

And anyways, he was bought to be a decent squad option and we have given him plenty of chances in his best position. Overall he's been decent. He is the type of winger Wenger doesn't use or give regular game time too with enough room to fail and sometimes lose possession too.

What are you babbling on about. How do you know how confident Ashley Young was? As for Wenger and what you know about wingers, Walcott's success has come from the wing most of this season...he's been quite unremarkable in the central role.

Stick to what you know...whatever that is.

Whatever that thing is in your Tagline seems more intelligent than you. Stick to it, and some may rub on to you.

And Eagles boss Ollie says Zaha’s current form — capped by his superb FA Cup display against Stoke 10 days ago — was bound to alert the Premier League big guns.

:/
I thought he had been poor for a few months and was on going to be dropped at this rate.
And didnt he play just 55 minutes against Stoke?

But Zaha's form has suffered since November, when he was called up to Roy Hodgson's England squad to face Sweden, and he is on the brink of being dropped. That has heightened Palace's awareness that if they do not sell now, they risk the price decreasing by the summer.

Has this actually turned into a serious rumor now. Or is it all just tabloid rubbish still?

Yeah I haven't seen much of him so im not in the best position to judge but after watching Sunday Supplement the journo's on there have been raising doubts about him. Since the speculation about his future and the England call up he's been dog shite apparently.

He wouldn't be the first player to lose form when his future is being sorted out.

Zaha is the most overrated English winger since the Ox who is the most overrated English winger since Adam Johnson who is the most overrated English winger since Theo Walcott who is the most overrated English winger since Aaron Lennon who is the most overrated English winger since Ashley Young who is the most overrated English winger since Stuart Downing.

See I was quite happy with Fergie saying "No dealings this window!" - I've been sucked into this one now oddly enough. Someone sign him already!
