What an absolute bell end Snograss is. Acting the hard man and telling Zaha to get up all the time and then going down like a 4 year old being attacked by a pigeon.

Having Ole in the Prem looks like a mutually beneficial loan solution for us. Hopefully Powell will get more Prem exposure soon as well.

5:03 in the video was great control on the edge of the box. Young in that situation would have just put his foot through and surrendered possession back to the other team. Why is he on loan again?

I was impressed by his play, especially the weight on his through-balls. Will be interesting to see how he does for Cardiff.

I hope next season Powell stays with first team and doesn't go out on loan.

He's going to have a hard job getting in the side considering he plays in the only position we are stacked with quality.

There is a difference playing for us and cardiff. If he does well, hopefully he'll feature next season. He'll be like a 'new signing' ...:(

I agree pressure wise ,but as a footballer it should be easier as he has better players around him he is not playing in the championship he's playing Norwich in the premier league who we struggled to beat 1-0 and he played better than any (with the exception of adnan) of our wingers have this season ,its a total travesty that he has not been given an opportunity this season ,when he played against us in the carling cup he was brilliant , I believe that was the reason that Fergie signed him in the first place , he has the ability and I was not going to argue with all the negative comments regarding him before , but after that performance yesterday , I just don't understand why we let him go on loan .

It's perplexing how this guy hasn't had a sniff on the right when Valencia has been shit all season. Considering it was his first game for ages he did very well.

Yeah but it will be his 3rd year with us. 1st year he didn't play much, 2nd he is out for season long loan and doing well there. We will at least need to tie him to another contract and then send out on loan if we had to, otherwise there will be lurkers if has good season elsewhere.
I doubt Kagawa will be staying with us beyond summer, so Powell has chance. He has that goal scoring knack which can be useful. Let's see.

It is ridiculous of Moyes to send Zaha out on loan when he clearly wouldn't (couldn't, even) have been any worse than our wingers this season, but I think it will benefit us in the long term (only because Moyes doesn't rate him at the minute, which shouldn't be the case in the first place). Moyes clearly didn't think much of him, but he clearly is a talent & as it is Ole, I can imagine he'll see plenty of minutes at Cardiff over the next few months. This is his chance to prove himself while Young and Valencia still get 90 minutes every week for no reason, so that he may return to us in the summer as a proven player. Long story short, at least he is playing football now.

Posters still making jokes about Moyes's daughter need to reassess their lives.

I'm glad he made a positive start for them, let's hope that continues and he can show that he can perform regularly at Premiership level and be challenging for a starting spot for us next season.

Every good performance by a loan player rather then being lauded just seems to be another stick to beat Moyes with unfortunately. Every positive seems to be a negative on here.

It's good to see Ole put some confidence back in the lad. Unless you have no fear like Januzaj, Old Trafford seems to be a confidence killer to everyone at the moment.

Suppose it's a bit similar to the Lukaku loan by Chelsea. A young player with a lot to learn but would still improve the side in goals/assists terms and people use it to mock a manager who is in all probability making a correct decision.

Watching him last season I thought he'd make more of an impact with us this year, but it appears that mentally it was too early for him. That said it's not easy for young players to come in and perform well with the lack of confidence throughout the side, there are not many Adnan Januzajs in the world.

I hope this is his last loan. I was dying to see him in a longer United run. Can storm the opponent's box without fear and Ole is milking best attributes from his game right now.

We need that kind of players and hopefully Moyes will try him more next season.

No one's been calling out Moyes for loaning out Powell or Lingard. Lots of people were saying even before Zaha left for loan that it was baffling he wasn't starting ahead of Valencia and Young. The whole 'He wasn't ready' is clear nonsense. He should have been starting games for us when it became apparent that he could not be any worse than our wingers who were playing week in week out.

You say he was ready, and then qualify that by saying that he couldn't be any worse then our other wingers. Not exactly a ringing endorsement!!

You also have to take into account that Valencia and Young are experienced and proven Premiership players. Zaha probably would have got more opportunities if we were playing better and winning games more comfortably and eased in that way. There wasn't that opportunity and so he's on loan and far more likely to get the minutes he needs.

I say that because he wasn't given a chance to show what he could do. In pre-season he looked one of our best players and that was on the back of helping his team win promotion. He was confident and we should have used that in our favour instead freezing him out completely which did no one any favours. When he finally did play he looked devoid of any confidence and was hesitant. Any confidence he might have had had obviously drained out.

We handled him very poorly.

We didn't have most of our best players in pre-season...And we had a very tough start to the league so Moyes relied on experience. If Adnan hadn't played so well when given the chance then that might have given him more opportunities I guess.

I still dont get it. Why is it that we persist with the shite that is Young and Valencia and not give Zaha a chance. He is more direct and has a trick or two up his sleeve. Defenders havent seen much of him in the league, so he would have been a nice addition. He can at least offer us something different from what Valencia or Young can do. Valencia - the same old run and take it outside and cross and Young - run at the defender and cut in and cross. Every single time!

How the feck do people not understand why Zaha didn't get opportunities? Isn't it bloody obvious?

I think what impressed me the most with watching that video is his lack of tricks. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for his tricks, but I've said countless times that he needs to know when to pull out the tricks and when to play it simple. Yesterday showed that he isn't just a showboat and is actually an intelligent player and knows when to release a pass, hopefully he carries on to do well for them and comes back a whole new player for us next season.

No? Enlighten us?

I would but people will just want to analyse and debate those reasons, which I don't have the desire to be dragged into.

The truth is surely everyone is already aware of what the reasons actually are. Whether or not people disagree with those reasons is another matter. But this whole "It's totally unfathomable" nonsense is complete bullshit.

But Zaha denied the rumours, he didn't sleep with the daughter. I know that's not what you meant.

I'm honestly not sure what you're on about... do you just mean a general thing of him being a bit raw / not showing enough in training etc, or are you trying to get at something more specific (eg the shagging)?

Seriously, all of you stop going on about Zaha and Moyes' daughter, whether it be as a joke or not. The rumours have been denied and it isn't funny, so stop linking these rumours to his situation at United please.

The less a player plays the better they become.

Interesting comments from Ole saying he can't defend.

Grooming under Solskjaer will be much better than wasting his life under Moyes.

Imagine the fun had he got some game time whilst we worked it to the winger and he crossed it in, rinse and repeat, but yea of course now he's elsewhere he's the answer to our problems, caf logic.

They love an overreaction on here, you'd swear he scored a hattrick or something yesterday. He played decent, nothing more nothing less.

That would be an improvement on Ashley Young or Antonio Valencia.

Exactly we could do with some competent or decent wingers.
But what we do is loan out our young winger to Cardiff and then on debut he gets an assist for a relegation battling side.
To me that's pretty good and it shows all he needed was time and trust and Zaha might actually be able to deliver.

So Ole can see what Moyes can't? tbf, he does qualify it by saying that Zaha needs to work harder in training.

Solskjaer: Man Utd’s £15m Whizkid Could Be The Next Ronaldo

Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saw his new signing Wilfried Zaha come off the bench to play a key role in the Bluebird’s 2-1 win over Norwich City on Saturday, leading the Norwegian to claim that Zaha can be as good as Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo. Solskjaer played with Ronaldo at Old Trafford and told reporters that Zaha can be as good, but warned the youngster that it will require hard work.

“He is one of the best I have seen with the ball,” said Solskjaer of the on loan Manchester United winger.

“He has quick feet and is brave like Cristiano and wants to go forward.”

However Solskjaer admitted that Zaha needs to show a willingness to work hard if he is to fulfil his potential.

“He has got to make a decision about how good does he want to be and how much does he love this game.”

“He can grow up to become a proper player like Ronaldo if he wants.”

“I have never seen anyone work as hard as Ronaldo. Before training, after training, he was an exceptionally dedicated man and proved to everyone what ¬dedication gets you.”

“It’s a desire and attitude from within,” continued the former Manchester United striker.

“It’s what you’ve got in your heart and Cristiano’s always had it.”
