A through ball? Moyes wouldn't have liked that, no no no.
Wilfried Zaha made the difference - Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised substitute Wilfried Zaha after the debutant played a vital role and helped inspire his side to victory.
Zaha, brought on in the 38th minute, created Cardiff's first goal as they came from behind to beat Norwich 2-1 and move off the bottom of the league.
"Zaha came on and made the difference," said Solskjaer, who won his first league match since taking charge.
"He has pace, power and technique. We just have to teach him defending."
He has also won two caps for England, but is yet to score an international goal.
Cardiff signed England international winger Zaha on loan from Manchester United on transfer deadline day.
Initially left on the bench by Solskjaer, his introduction seven minutes before the break drew a huge cheer from the crowd and he repaid their faith with a game-changing performance.
Darting in from the left, he slipped a perfect through-ball to Craig Bellamy, who became the first player to score for seven different Premier league clubs as he cancelled out Robert Snodgrass's opener with a low finish.
"It was a decision I had to make there and then," added Solskjaer. "I was hoping we'd be in a better position, but I felt we needed some spark, and that's what we got from Zaha."
Less than two minutes later, Kenwyne Jones marked his debut with a goal, firing home from close-range at the second attempt after his initial header was blocked.
Cardiff were indebted to their goalkeeper David Marshall, who produced a string of superb saves to deny Norwich, who also struck the woodwork twice and had two goals disallowed for offside.
Solskjaer admitted his team had ridden their luck to come away with their first win in eight league games and his first victory in the league after three defeats.
"Before now, we've had some very good performances but no luck," said Solskjaer. "Maybe the fair result would have been a draw if you look at possession and shots, but we got a result with a little bit of luck."
Jones, who joined Cardiff from Stoke in a swap deal with Peter Odemwingie, said he hopes the result can mark a turning point in his new team's season.
"I think a win breeds confidence in the squad," he said. "The team was a bit down but hopefully today is the start of a new era."
Recall him. They can have Valencia.
He'll do well now. He has a positive 'real' Manchester United manager in Ole.
This loan spell will hopefully be a very productive one for him / us.
Lets hope Ole comes with him to replace the useless man in charge right now. Zaha has a big future though, he just needs a manager who believes in him.Depends. Even a good loan he still has to come back to Moyes. However if someone else is in charge when his back they yes very effective. Honestly we have an array of good players just need a new spine.
We should have loaned Moyes out instead.
Does it matter, If Moyes does not think he has the talent, he will not get a chance in the team, no matter what he does at Cardiff. This loan spell will hopefully be a very productive one for him / us.

It was criminal to only have used him in the 1 sub appearance when ahead of him is total shiite...

With Pep, Klopp and Mourinho apparently unavailable, Ole should have been our choice.Hire Ole after we sack Moyes.

He wasn't experienced but neither was Pep. He is a winner, love the club, is loved by the fans and plays attacking football. That would have been romantic and maybe it would have worked.
He'll hopefully be one of the candidates the next time we'll look for a new manager (cough cough, summer 2015).
We cant I would think?
He should have been if we were going by the inexperienced/potential route. He's a United legend, the fans love him, he won 2 league titles for the first time in Molde's history and the fans and the board would have given him the proper time. He's also probably a lot more inclined to play attacking/possession football then Moyes is so would be welcome here for that too.Like feck he was.

Usually agree with you regarding Moyes.
But have to disagree there. Pep had a great squad. All he had to do was motivate them and get the tactics spot on.
This job would have been too big for Ole. We should have gone for somebody short term like Hiddink or Van Gaal and then go for a long term appointment.
Well from MotD (not much admittedly), Zaha also set up the chance for Mutch right after with some good play, and I read he played pretty well on the whole considering it was his first appearance at a new struggling club after being frozen out for half a season here. Fabio didn't look that bad either from what I heard (cardiff fans seem to have been impressed with him), same problems with him though, didn't play for a long time and his confidence is probably at an all time low. They'll both come good I think. Not sure how many people actually watched the match, but I had it recorded so followed from when Wilf came on.
He actually only had the one assist - when he Norwich played the ball right to him just outside the area and he played a pretty perfectly weighted through ball to Bellamy who scored. Great cameo, and right as he came on too.
But to be honest he barely did anything else for the rest of the match. Norwich basically layed seige to the Cardiff goal which led a charmed life, and he was the outlet starting on the left, then moving to the middle when Ole brought Jones back to defend.
There are dozens of very viable sticks to beat Moyes with and I'd like to see him go back to managing at his level, but Zaha's performance today was no better than Young's in the same position.
As an aside, Fabio was terrible. Awful positioning led to the first goal, and then went down with cramp about 60 mins in. Hopefully a long run will get him back up to speed, but he was a bit of a liability today.

I wonder what Moyes would have done to Ronaldo when he first got to United? (Not saying that Zaha is the equivalent of Ronnie.) But Ronnie wasn't a great defender either. No tracking back.
I think what Sir Matt says is very true. Moyes likes his wingers to be hard working and he wouldn't have rated Ronaldo that highly if he had him probably. Moyes just doesn't know how to use players like that, with flair. There's room for one maybe like Januzaj, but he seems to like Young and Valencia more then Kagawa/Nani or Zaha as well, despite how bad they've been (Young has been a decent squad player these last few games though). Thanks for posting that video Matt, one which raises more questions from a United PoV.
How the hell did Moyes not find time to use a player like that? Much like Janzuaj he'd have been pulling defences all over the place, creating freedom for his team mates and helping to bring back a little of that fear factor.
I particularly liked the intelligence he showed there with his pass selection, an assertive player who would look to drive the game in a positive direction.
Hope Wilf stays fit, these next months could be important for all involved, if potentially galling for Dave.
