Wilfried Zaha - Sold to Crystal Palace

It is often remarked upon how a new manager didn't choose such and such a player and therefore expectations of how they'll view them are not guaranteed, yet surely the converse is also true to a exent, Zaha was sold a vision by SAF and very likely believed in capabilities of the man whereas with Moyes...

We don't know what Moyes is asking of the player in training , the style of football played since August has been somewhat more inhibited than used to be the case and the clash may have begun there.

The lad has gone from plying his trade to a fairly decent standard on a weekly basis to none at all, such cannot be conducive to maintaining the level he held previously let alone developing it further. The explanation being put out concerning the lack of a loan deal stands up to little scrutiny and has only increased the mutual animosity between the two, Moyes either needs to rehabilitate Zaha position at United or allow Wilf to prove him wrong at Cardiff until May.

Don't know about the lateness but I've been told he's a poor trainer to the extent you wouldn't know he had talent at all from watching him train.

Someone I know picked Abdul Razak over him because he just looked so poor.

If he isn't performing in training he can't be picked for the 1st team, but he needs game time.

Wish both parties could sort this out because he clearly has talent. Would like to see him tried out considering Valencia is ass.

What are your thoughts on him generally?

I wasnt too impressed when we signed him orignally, if anything less so now. Id send him on loan asap if id my way.

The London rumours (which have been around for a long time now) obviously had some truth to them.

Yep it's obvious why we are far from pleased at him going back to palace.

The kid definitely need's first team football though. Knocking around in the reserves will not get him to the level he requires.

He's not that good. Yes, he is young. I mean he is not that good in comparison to other young players. He has played much more professional football than the players I have in mind too. I have stated these views since he joined, and I reckon some are starting to come round to them now.

The sad thing is that there is definitely room for an effective version of Zaha in the squad. He is young enough to yet make it here, but I feel the work that is required is huge, more than I would hope.

Wilfried Zaha has been pictured arriving at hospital as Cardiff City renewed hope of completing a loan move for the Manchester United outcast this week.

Sources close to the deal have told Sportsmail that a move might even be done as soon as Thursday, with David Moyes fast losing patience with the winger, who was believed to be arriving at Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester for a medical on Wednesday.

The United manager was initially reluctant to let the 21-year-old leave while Ashley Young and Nani were injured, but Young’s return and Moyes’s continued issues with Zaha’s behaviour have accelerated the process.

Now the pics they have is of him at a Manc hospital. Could cardiff be doing a medical there?

I hope he gets a loan sorted as he wont develop sitting in the stands and the pre season form he showed along with his form at the end of last season suggest he could be a hell of a player if he gets the experience. 6 Months ago he seemed to have a realistic chance of making the world cup squad and with a great end to the season out on loan who knows perhaps he could still have a shot (admittedly it looks a long shot).

Might make Moyes look a bit of a mug though if he does go on loan and produces a series of great games overshadowing the likes of Young Valencia and Nani

If he plays like he did with Crysta P. that's very probable.

Good for him ,needs that game time which i'm sure Ole will give .Just hope he rediscovers his form.

Got to think we've more than Mata lined up for this winow as he'll be the third we've let go in one shape or another behind Anderson and Fabio

Ole going to be playing a team full of United players (ex and present) - supposedly interested in The One as well.

Will be great if Zaha does get loaned out - doesn't make sense for him to have very little chance of game time here - already half a season of development has been lost.

Could be wrong but I don't think Premier league clubs can loan players in beyond the deadline. Championship and below can though
Ah ok cheers. I actually thought the loan deadline is a week after the transfer deadline but perhaps thats during the summer windows.

Loaning him to Ole for the rest of the season seems like an ideal solution.

Could be a top signing for Cardiff if he brings the right attitude, and not the rumored one he occasionally whaps out.

I'm assuming he won't be allowed to play against us next week?

Because, if he does, you can bet your right nut he will score the winner.

Ole saying that he is still a United player. He certainly knows how to handle the British media.
