Were they ever real rumours though? I always thought it was a joke?! 'Why isn't Zaha getting a look in? - must be shagging the Gaffers daughter!' I didn't think people seriously thought he was sleeping with her.

A lot of people were directly asking him on twitter if he had shagged Moyes' daughter, and clearly he was having enough of it to warrant a response.

I think a few papers ran with it, and it was a strong internet rumour.

Weren't Everton fans chanting about it too? I can see why the club would want to put it to rest.

One of those things that people know is untrue but continue to run with it to cause drama or as a way of getting at the player/manager.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rio come out with a tweet about it too, knowing him "yo I can safely say that I didn't bang da gaffers daughter either, I know da rumors werent bout me but gotta be safe"

Tbf, I'd happily bang her. There's no way she's not the milkman's daughter.

Tweets are gone. Guess he deleted them. :(

Just browsing through his Twitter feed, he spends far too much time defending himself.

He looked like he was shitting a brick before coming on. Way too nervous, didn't help the circumstances of the game and his lack of opportunities beforehand.

Looked like he hadn't even kicked a football in months, let alone played a match. Looked very rusty compared to last season's Zaha, and even pre-season Zaha.

exactly. He looked decent enough when he last played a match for us.

wtf is happening at the club. If we do not get decent reinforcements in January, we will be trying to just stay in the Prem.

Should've loaned him. Absolute no where near good enough yet to come on and try and influence a come back.

Can't really fault him, he was called on in desperate times. Couldn't produce magic.

Yeah he looked rusty and hasn't had a look in but he was fecking awful, losing the ball or giving away stupid free kicks all of the time. Odd decision to bring him on.

Wasnt given a chance, but why was he thrown on the left side? Why didnt we just play him on the right and Adnan on the left? It made no sense to do this.

Because thats what Nani had to do. Why didnt Nani get a chance on the right?

He always has that look in his eye, even when raping Watford at Wembley in the play-off final. It's not a sign of lack of confidence.

Never really got the opportunity to strut his stuff today but he was no worse than the rest of 'em.

Looked a bit hopeless on the ball but we shouldn't be surprised. He's hardly had a look in the team and expecting him to step in when we're under such pressure and playing so poorly is unfair. He needs to be integrated slowly and steadily.

He showed today why he hasn't been played so far. That's not a criticism, he's just a very raw kid who probably isn't ready for the level he's at yet. His decision making isn't quite there yet. But he'll be alright. A few more games like that will toughen up the skin and then we'll see him express himself a bit more in the right way.

To be fair when was last time he played. Can't just throw him in after not playing for like two months.

Can't judge him on a performance where he was thrown in to try and change the game on the side he isn't comfortable on in a short amount of time. He needs to start a couple of the easier games on the right to give him some confidence and experience, not thrown in into these sort of situations. I have no concerns with him as a player though
