This Zaha chap is quite good, and looks remarkably like Valencia...

and fabio looks like rafael

Think the boss wants these tough games out of the way before bringing Zaha and Adnan into our season.

From what I've seen so far, I think we have better options right now for such tough opposition anyway.

I honestly thought we would see him come on when we had a three goal lead against Swansea.

When I said after the Charity Shield game that he showed almost nothing and that he was probably one of our worst players in that game(same as against AIK game probably), people here jumped at me like I said he is never going to make it at Manchester United, yet he plays zero minutes three games later, and not even making it to the bench two times. You would expect from player that was "very good" against Wigan to get at least few minutes in next three games.

He is young and promising, I think he will be great for us in the future, I really do, but apart from one or two good performances in preseason against weak opponents, he still needs to prove himself to pop in even on the bench, let alone to be better already than Valencia and Young as many said.

Is he injured? Can't do worse than young can he? And why don't we use him off the bench? Against tired legs he could be a handful.

Zaha and Adnan? An established international player like Kagawa cant get a spot in this squad ahead of Young and a 40yo Ryan Giggs what chance do they have?
Come on moyesie. Show us something new next time round. Let's see our more technical and skillful (and young) players given a go.

He has missed a sitter tonight and hasn't had an all too great game. Redmond was the better of the two but was subbed.

Um no, Redmond was more direct, but Zaha was clearly the better footballer- more game intelligence, more skillful, better passing and crossing etc.

Not tonight, no. It's not massive criticism so no need to have a strop. I know nothing remotely negative can ever be said about a United player in your presence. Zaha wasn't great tonight up against utter dross, I thought Redmod was better and created more. It's not indicative of Zaha's ability, it is one game. If you check the Redmond thread you will see that I don't rate him too highly, but tonight he was better. I do rate Zaha by the way, you're just a lil bit odd and misinterpret a lot of things on here.

Giggs can only play once a week max. Zaha and Kawaga will get games. Adnan will play in the LC or go on loan.

Where's the strop?

He was good tonight.. constantly beating his man with both skill and with his physical attributes on both sides of the pitch, putting in dangerous crosses, controlling the play with his passing. Redmond was very direct with his pace and found himself in dangerous positions a few times and put in decent balls and almost scored once, but overall Zaha had by far the better showing.

It was interesting when the commentator said that Redmond looked better and Owen sounded surprised by the comment, because at the end of the day football is about more than looking threatening because you are quick.

Fair enough.

Different opinions, I thought Redmond was better tonight. Differing options is all. Zaha is by far the better player, for what it's worth.

nothing really wrong with that tweet. He is new to the city so would obviously be looking for things to do

You really thought that? Fair enough. I thought Redmond was the more impressive by a margin.

Yeah exactly, if he tweeted that during a united game then of course it would be a completely different story.

I thought it was painfully obvious from that game Zaha was the more talented player. Redmond probably played better but in the same way Ashley Young mght occasionally have a better game than Gareth Bale. Zaha was the one who looked comfortable taking the ball in any situation, beating his man, etc.

Zaha is ridiculously talented, it's more about whether his final ball/decision making develops and whether he's got the mentality to make that count. There will be some poor performances in the meantme either way so hopefullly people will be a bit patient (they wont).

I think he's destined to frustrate the life out of us for a while. I'm not sure he realises his own abilities sometimes.

To be so comfortable beating someone on either side is v rare. When/if it all comes together for him he'll be a nightmare to play against. He already is to a certain extent.
