Statement of a window from Ineos. Dare I say Glazers will have been delighted with our business.
Is there not even a Giroud level loan signing available ?
Feels like if we can even find an experienced striker or frontman whose past it, we could push the Europa cup and potential CL spot.

I don't think it was bigger hole if I'm honest. If I'm wrong and bringing in a left back actually helps us suddenly start scoring goals I'll be blown away and give fair props to the club, can't see it though.LWB was our biggest hole in the team beyond event attackers. With the injury to Lisandro Heaven’s transfer also looks astute as we needed a left footed cover at LCB.
The two attackers loaned out are Antony our worst signing in history and Rashford who has been poor for two seasons and has fallen out with the manager.
Those two decisions were fine.
Not bringing in a forward is the issue to focus on, not the above.
They’re all out on loan or injured I think.Mad that we appear to be sitting this out. Other than the youngster Chido - is there anyone in the youth team who could provide an option? Remember Rashford was completely out of the blue and rarely talked of as a sure thing before being thrown in.
Sometimes it works, and we are fecking desperate out here.
I mean it was the one position we actually had no one in. Dalot and Maz can fill in at left back but are much more comfortable on the right. Malacia has come back from his injury a shadow of a player and Shaw even if fit wouldn’t have the stamina for wing back.I don't think it was bigger hole if I'm honest. I'm not bothered about the bodies coming in, happy enough with the both in the grand scheme. It's the same with the guys going out on loan, fully appreciate they weren't really playing, but it's unreal that we don't appear to have anything at all lined up at that end of the pitch. We've already got kids playing up top, two of whom have been truly terrible, and if we get an injury it'll be someone with even less experience or a makeshift player to replace them. Mental.
Have we ever signed anybody out the blue this late into a deadline day? Assuming we’d already know by now if anything was going to happen?
I'd rather of stayed with a fill in left back in Dalot if it was a choice between that or a half decent forward player with a good eye for goal.I mean it was the one position we actually had no one in. If Dorgu is moderately decent at getting up and down the pitch and offering us an actual outlet at LW I wouldn’t be surprised if our performances increase quite a bit more. We statistically don’t score when it’s both Dalot and Maz.
We have 4 strikers/inside forwards in a squad, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Garnacho, Amad. If 1 is injured, if 2 are injured who are playing? WHO is scoring goals?I'm happy with just Dorgu.
Loaning Antony and Rashford means we get more wiggle room with PSR in the summer. if Rashford performs and gets the Villa move we have good standing for the summer.
Quenda and Gyokeres would be achievable + another forward.
I think this painful January is worth it in the long run.
We also need a new LCB. Martinez is out and we only have 1 fit but it’s a very young lad who we’ve just signed.I'm happy with just Dorgu.

Think we can use Dorgu as a forward, and at this rate we can use Mazraoui there as well seeing as already seem to use him in a position he’s completely incapable of playing anyway. We have 4 strikers/inside forwards in a squad, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Garnacho, Amad. This is spot on.I'm happy with just Dorgu.

I mean we have Rasmus and Zirkzee to cover the 9 and Garnacho, Amad, Mainoo, Bruno, Erikson to cover the 10. One of those defenders is just for the youth teams. Dorgu's the only signing we made for the first team squadCan't score, have loaned out multiple attackers, and we bring in two defenders. State of this club, honestly.

Ha! That's what happens, Mason! Get your ass out on that training pitch!Mount says Hi from the treatment room.
Under normal circumstances I'd agree. On this occasion though, I don't think it would be that hard to find someone that might be slightly better than what we've got up top, or at least another option that brings something different. This is spot on.
Clearly we cannot sign anyone who is going to transform the team in this window as very little quality is available in January, better to focus on reducing wages and raising funds to give us a decent shot of being in position to make the big signings we need in the summer when the market is a lot more rational and more proven players will be on the move.
We had the third highest net transfer spend this window. Spent 100M+ more than City, Pool, Chelsea, Arsenal. Gave ETH a big payout to get him out, followed by a large contract for Amorim.I've felt for a while that part of the reason why the Glazers were happy to relinquish the shares in the club they did to Ineos was largely in part due to the miserly decisions Sir Jim could get away with. Just think of the response from fans had the Glazers actively done half of what Ineos have since taking over. There would have, righfully, been riots.
Instead, the fans are the ones being asked to fork out for the Glazers mishandling of the club, we are slipping into utter mediocrity whilst fans chant Ratcliffe's name. He's a glorified consultant at this point tasked with slashing and saving, little more. Once the investment for the new stadium is secured, I imagine he'll sell up and feck off.
Granted they’re both not the best and I would want someone coming in sooner rather later. However they also don’t get any service inside the box. It’s a United squad issue that we don’t score goals. We lack serious creativity. So we are stuck with relying on the 2 lumps who have shown they cannot score goals with any sort of consistency. Fecking terrific given one of our biggest problems is we can't score so that puts even bigger pressure on our dodgy defence and even dodgier GK to try and keep a clean sheet so we can at least draw
I understand no emergency signing but ffs there must be a loan?
They made their bed by not only keeping ETH in the summer, when it was clear he needed the sack, but letting him sign yet more dross.
Honestly not impressed by Ineos
