What next for Jürgen Klopp?

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he went back to Liverpool after a year off.

For me, always will be the one we missed out on. Would have been perfect for us and his rivalry with Pep would have been more even trophy wise if was managing us rather than Liverpool. Too bad Woody was such an idiot. Adult Disneyland...moron!

I think an international job would suit him. Wouldn’t have much work load to do since he said he needs a break/rest. I’d love him to manage England. With the players we have he’d make them play some good football.

I see him taking over the english national team.
The players would perfectly fit his full metal style, he knows most of them and if he wins something with england he will be the hero again.

He’ll complete a beautiful quadruple playing a team of school kids all the way from now until the end of the season with loads of help from VAR and our world-leading inhaler regime.

Then he’ll visit his dentist in bootle, get a re-polish of those sparkling gnashers, and commit to another 25 year contract to experience more beautiful moments at Anfield.

Sending the caff into a hiroshima-style explosion not seen since kloppo ran away with the title a few seasons back.

He's done with full-time club management then, sounds like he wants a wellpaying part-time gig overseeing football management once in awhile and if he really misses the job he might return to coach the German NT.

That’s his entire legacy tarnished amongst German fans. Beautiful.
Great to hear! Next stop - tarnish his legacy at Liverpool.

If there was only a vacancy at one of it's biggest rivals. Maybe a some dutch manager who might be sacked soon?

Interesting move, will be interesting to see if he can get as much enjoyment out of this as actually being on the touchline as a head coach.

Seems inevitable he'll coach the German NT in the near or distant future as potential last gig though if that exit clause is real.

Since he has now shown to be a sellout, we probably did have a chance at appointing him, just needed more money

The reaction online has been hilarious, a lot of vitriol directed at him.

For as much as he is revered and touted by some as one of the great all time coaches, his career trophy haul reads:

1 Champions League
1 Premier League
2 Bundesligas
1 FA Cup
1 German Cup
2 League Cups

8 major trophies, a quarter of which are league cups.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great coach, and I have a lot of respect for the job he did at Liverpool. But his reputation vastly outstrips his accomplishments.

Schrodingers Top Top Manager

Anyone who has ever objectively looked at him is hardly surprised by this. Of course Dortmund (and some Mainz) fans have a romanticised image of him, but it would still be a bit embarrassing if they were surprised. @do.ob what is the opinion of the Dortmund fans?

That’s about as impressive as it gets for a manager that did not manage Bayern, Real or City.

Yeah, anyone who ever had to suffer through a commercial break on German TV with Klopp's mug appearing in spots for 5 different companies cannot be surprised. Schaffe, schaffe, Häusle baue.

Nope. Nothing new. He was always a sell out. He’s advertising for every single company present in the German market. He does everything for money.

What sort of commercials did he do? Always a bit surprised by players/managers who've actually achieved stuff who goes down this road.

Beers, cars, beardshavers, crisps, candy, banks, financial insurance and I have probably successfully repressed the memory of about 10 other

Have to say, this is pretty funny  All the German traditionalists are in a meltdown

so when you boil the man down to the bones, he’s just a toothy pep.

Great gig for him, big money and probably doesn’t have the day-to-day pressure as you would as a head coach.

However, I don’t think his persona is right for a job like this. He doesn’t strike me as a football director.
