What is Luis Suarez worth?

Imagine if Arsenal had managed to sign him instead of Ozil, think they would win the league comfortably. Same is probably true of Chelsea, and would work with Rooney too but both to a lesser extent.

I don't think we'd have as many points let alone win the league with Suarez ahead of Ozil....

Hate him, but he's on a different level these days. I can't imagine him staying at LFC much longer.

Surprised at that, Ozil has been good but not really brilliant IMO. Suarez is the better player, and is is rather versatile so I wouldn't be concerned about him adapting to Arsenals game.

If only we could have both him and Ozil.

Suarez is just majestic. The movement, the touch, the clinical finishing. It's all there. It is Henry-esque at times, and there is no greater compliment.

Arsenal would stomp the league with Luis. Thank fck he's a cheating, diving, racist bastard.

No decent club will touch him. Not for more than £24.99p.

Ozil still has the most assists in the league though. Even when he's not playing brilliantly he can change a game and he doesn't bring the same baggage Suarez does. Suarez is brilliant but any club that wants to sign him has to be wary.

I think Madrid will be in for as well, that would be some counter attacking team with Bale/Ronaldo/Suarez

Its Norwich. He always scores against Norwich.

I still rate Aguero as the better player.

With the performances he's putting in, he's dead set to be the next Galactico. Aguero going to Barca of course.

Suarez plays brilliantly a lot more often though, which is the preferable option IMO. Plus he scores more, again more preferable than assists.

Best player in the league, as much as it pains me to say.

Horrible scumbag, great player.

Well the scoring thing would only be more preferable if Ozil was a striker.

I don't know, I think Suarez could easily play off the striker with Giroud and still comfortably quadruple Ozils likely tally by the end of the season. Wouldn't affect your creativity much with Santi, Jack and Aaron there and Suarez being a pretty nifty creator himself.

It's quite obvious to me that he's a better player than Ozil, or at the very least is comfortably outperforming him, so it makes perfect sense to me that he would've improved you more than Ozil did.

Ozil doesn't play just off the striker, he plays as an AM who drifts wide. He's not a better player than Suarez but he is a better passer and definitely a better midfielder.

He's a magician. When I have my ST back in a couple of seasons, I wouldn't mind just paying to watch him. I genuinely hope we tell Madrid to feck off and let him go on a free, the lad is an absolute genius. Up there with John Barnes as the most talented player to grace Anfield.

Yeah but he doesn't play it better than Ozil.

I think in this form he would do though - he just wouldn't play the same was as Ozil.

Suarez probably wouldn't get the same amount of assists but he would score far more.

Best player in the league, he's simply phenomenal.

He's worth every penny of £50 million, and at this rate you'd think Bale/Ronaldo-esque figures will be what Liverpool price him as.

He's reached 50 premier league goals in just 86 games. That's a great record, especially considering how poor his finishing was in the first season. You could definitely make an argument for him being the best player in the league at this moment in time, along with Aguero, and Rooney.

He'd hit insane goal totals. Look what he has creating for him at the moment...

Would you sell if they offered 60-70 mil for him? I'm serious because even though that is more then he is worth, he is one of those players who is irreplaceable and it would just set you lot back further, even though you'd be able to strengthen other areas. Sort of like the Ronaldo case at United, but to a lesser degree obviously, but I wouldn't have sold Ronaldo for any price if he didn't push for a transfer. We'll see what happens this summer I guess with Suarez.

No. I absolutely love him. I was furuous after the biting incident, but I wouldn't sell him for anything. Do what Dortmund have done with Lewa.

I'm slowly cementing the opinion that no realistic amount of money is enough for your best player when they are at the level of being one of the best in the world.

Rooney? Really?

Ramsey has been better and scored as much, provided more all whilst playing CM, with the odd period at RW. He leads the league in tackles too.

Yes but Rooney has been a world class player for the best part of the last 10 years, compared to a great first half of the season by Ramsey and a good second half last season. He's nowhere near the best players in the league yet, even though I'm a huge fan of his. If he keeps this up (not necessarily the scoring) he can get there though.
Also Rooney has been awesome this season, back to his best. Rooney at his best is up there with the best in the world (not counting Ronaldo and Messi).
